Really nice friendly staff, good choice of dishes, starters, mains and desserts, good prices, nice pub atmosphere.food lovely.

Although we had booked a table there was a bit of a wait for food as the pub was quite busy, we were informed of this immediately. Very friendly staff behind the bar and waiting. Good selection of GF meal options. The wait wasn't quite as long as anticipated and the food was plentiful and tasty. Staff were attentive, checking meals were OK and keeping tables cleared. A good atmosphere with a mix of couples and larger groups in the pub. Very good service. The only comments I would give as negatives are tables were a little sticky and if people are having a meal could they not have a tab as every round of drinks and additional food course had to have separate card transactions? I would definitely eat here again.

On an extremely hot day and being in the area for the first time we were very fortunate to find this lovely little pub serving lunches when others had finished . It was lovely and cool inside the service and food was excellent . For the family we found it a lovely enjoyable cool calm atmosphere on a very hot day outside. Certainly will pay a visit the next time we are in the area. _/_/._👍😃🍴🍺

Had a 3 course meal here on 22/7/23 and we couldn't fault the food, absolutely delicious! Only given 4 stars as we had to ask 2 members of staff where our desserts were before we got them yet the starter and mains were quick. Would go again though

The staff were brilliant in difficult circumstances, they were very short staffed but everyone was served in turn with a smile....well done all of you. A couple of disgruntled customers still got the smile but they really should have congratulated the staff instead of moaning!!!

Great place to get your Sunday lunch, both dog and child friendly. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Large selection of food and drinks. They even had Nethergate Stour Valley Gold on tap. Get there early for the Sunday roast as they soon sell out of lamb and chicken. Highly recommended 👍

Had lunch there today with a friend and waitress was friendly and gave us a choice of seating in restaurant area or seating just away from bar. Food was fantastic, really enjoyable. Busy but good service.
