This is not our first time at the Sea Kitchen, and even though we love its food we hadn't left a review before. However, our food last night was beyond excellent, and we couldn't avoid saying it. The meal was exquisite, delicate and gorgeous, so we can't stop talking about its delicious taste today. I am allergic to Shellfish and Molluscs and each time I return to the restaurant they always remember it and take lovely care of my dietary requirements. Thank you very much Issy and Max for such a beautiful evening. 100% recommended!

Lovely dinner with small menu and well done menu, ideal fresh food at reasonable prices. Best view in Looe when dining. Owner is half Italian and knows her traditional Italian food and great service, great welcoming, a must dine experience.

The freshest and tastiest fish in Looe! Came here twice when we stayed and tried other places but no where compared. Chilled vibes, good service and the tastiest food! Very reasonably priced and slightly different both times we went depending on what fish was the freshest. Absolutely loved it and Will definitely be returning when we're back in Looe. Highly recommended

A small fish restaurant serving the best fresh locally caught fish, cooked to perfection with excellent service. Even just their fish and chips are special with amazing tartar sauce and the most fantastic mushy peas! Every dish was special, thank you!

Booked our seat online which was easy. Service was with a smile. Very welcoming and friendly. The Maitre de was very knowledgeable about the menu and described in detail the food on offer. The menu changes depending on the catch of that day. So it is a bit of a gamble. Having said that. You are guaranteed the freshest fish...
My wife had monkfish kebabs as her starter which she said was amazing, the riata was the freshest tasting beautiful side dish and I had mackerel pate, which I loved. For mains we both took the vegetarian option due to the limited fish options. That is not a complaint. The hummus was beautiful, served with homemade tortilla chips. With a side of parmesan fries and olives. Again, beautiful. For desert I had the cheesecake. To be honest, it was too small for my liking and as it was an unbaked cheesecake, the cheese side was more of a mousse, which was slightly disappointing. We chose a bottle of Mucadet to compliment the food. That was a great choice. All in all, I am no expert but would give the restaurant 8.5...it would have been 9 but for a couple of snobbish grumbles. The hannafore hotel is having some building works done and we were sat with our backs against a building site. Also there was a wedding taking place which made the upstair balcony above us quite busy. One thoughtless person threw a cigarette butt off which luckily landed to the side of our table. Upwind...I had to get up and stamp it out. Unfortunately for the restaurant, they have no control over that... Would I recommend eating here? Absolutely! Service of quality fresh food in a beautiful place, all with a smile! Why wouldn't I?

Food: Fantastic
Service: very charming and attentive (by the Italian owner, Izzy, herself).
Atmosphere: very friendly & accommodating.
Background Music:
all out 60s/70s or even 80s.
We loved it (born 1960s)
You will love it too, no doubt!
We will definitely be back next year.. as it's the best fish restaurant in at least 10 years or so in Looe.

A great place, light and air with a great view of Looe beach. that became a favourite on our 1st visit
The menu is extensive, but as a day/daily caught fish restaurant, not everything is always available. Bear that in mind.
What we had was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. Already looking forward to eating there again.
Not making recommendations on the menu below because I wanted it all.

Absolutely delightful setting, delicious, beautifully prepared and cooked food and great service. I have a very limited diet as I have to do without gluten and casein (dairy and egg protein). A fish of the day and salad was a perfect main course.
We have been many times before and we will return! And far better than The Sardine Factory that offered me a green dressed salad with the Parmesan removed and charged the same price. Choice was otherwise severely limited. Shall not return or recommend.

Well this is one of those rare places that I am loathe to recommend for fear that it will become one of those everso popular Michelin starred places that you have to wait months to get in to.
The lovely Izzy who is the manager, waitress, guide, font of all foodie knowledge and genuinely all around consummate professional was literally there omni present at everyone's beck and call along with her small but mighty team that did not stop cooking, cleaning and providing excellent service genuinely could not be faulted and trust me my massively foodie family and I are really fussy. The food which is not only seasonal but caught that day so only available until its all gone was prepared to perfection.
A massive thanks to the chef for a job well done.
Please note the menu is bountiful but limited to daily catches so if you're late to the day you options may be reduced however we went on a Wednesday evening and had a full range of various options. The venue itself is light, spacious and airy with a subtle 50s vibe and stunning views across East Looe up the coast across Whitsand Bay and all the way to Rames head on a clear day. Enjoy.
