Can I just first of all say how impressed we were with the young man who served us (sporting a black eye). The restaurant was fully booked across the evening but he managed to juggle tables so that everyone who popped in got seated regardless. Excellent service. Lovely, cosy place with lots of wood, a fire, and a really nice vibe. Good selection of food - we had an outstandingly delicious hotpot and excellent fish pie. Well worth a visit.

Popped in here on the first night of our holiday for a drink, but seeing how many tables were reserved for dinner we decided to stay for food. So glad we did as it was delicious and the staff were really friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up eating here for the following two evenings.

A lovely, atmospheric pub serving home cooked food in the fantastic seaside fishing village of Looe, Cornwall. Original beams and exposed woodwork create a cosy atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. There are very few vegetarian dishes, and no vegan ones, but can highly recommend the veggie lasagne, something I would normally avoid due to the microwaved horrors I've been served in other places, but this was homemade and absolutely delicious. There's a good selection of beers and ciders, both draught and bottled. The other people in the group had the fish pie, steak and ale pie, meat lasagne and fish and chips and everyone was singing their praises. There's a small range of desserts, we tried one of each and they were lovely. Looking forward to a return visit!

Another great place to have a drink and enjoy the quite nice atmosphere. So very professional service and cool staff. Didn’t try their food but the smells telling me all the story of taste around me 😜. Happy to be back for their yummy food whenever I’m around Looe again.

We had a great time at the Salutation. So much so we went back and had another great time! You might walk past the place if you are not looking as it's unassuming and nestled on the side of the street, but it's really worth a visit. The staff are friendly and are genuinely pleased to see you. There is a good selection of drinks to boot! The food is traditional pub food and tastes like it really is home cooked. What really makes it is the atmosphere. It's cosy and makes you feel like you want to come back again and again.

Loved this place, was very busy, but the waiter found us a nice table in a very historic room, could imagine 17th-century Cornish fishermen smoking their pipes, taking about the days catch and smuggling. The food was very good, the service was slow but they were very busy. If you can get a table then you won't be disappointed.

Great place, would have scored higher had the 'landlady' (I believe she was) let me pinch the glass we discussed -it had my hubby's name etched on it, but I had just read the polite notice in a frame on the wall beside me, admitted my thoughts-but she just laughed and that was that! 😪😉 Will be back-ITS A GREAT PLACE

Had a great meal here tonight. The three of us had fish and chips, jalfrezi curry and chicken and mushroom pie, plus a side and a few drinks. We all loved the food and the service. I had the fish and chips myself and thought the fish was absolutely delicious. Very crispy batter and very flavourful. The toilets were quite clean, so I really appreciate that. 👍 Spent £72.30 including a £5 tip.

We loved Ye Olde Salutation Inn. Service was exemplary, food was absolutely cooked to perfection. Myself, my wife, and our two young kids had a great afternoon/evening here. We can highly recommend the Fish Pie which was amongst the nicest I have ever tasted, and the Thai Green Curry with mini spring rolls. The wine was terrific too! Thanks every so much x
