Not Sal n Vinnies anymore. Pitch and Chips I think. Was bit worried when another customer returned his sausage because it was cold. However the chips were hot and not at all greasy. The batter on the sausages looked weird but I was assured it tasted much better than it looked. My jumbo was hot and tasty. Will go back. Would have given 5 stars but nowhere near enough salt on the chips.
We have family nearby and this is by far the best place to get fish and chips in the area.
Last visited on a horrible wet evening, placed our order and it was suggested we sit in the car until the food was cooked. A thumbs up indicated all done, freshly cooked and it was delicious. Prices are very reasonable and there is a good selection of alternatives if required. Check opening times during the low season but well worth a visit.
What wonderful people that run this chip cart, we were looking for some fish and chips and stumbled over this one, and lucky we did, the prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were very good too.
The chips were nicely fried, not too wet and soggy, and not too crispy, and the sausage that I ate was of a very good quality. would recommend to anyone staying at Tencreek or nearby in Looe, especially as chip-shops seem hard to find in a seaside town
A convenient fish and chip shop (just off the a387) in the caravan park. Fish good size and well battered (cod, Pollock, plaice, scampi, haddock) about a fiver. large chips £2.80 and serves 2. Good quality.
We visit Looe every year and always choose Sal N Vinnies for our fish and chips. Really friendly service and the food is always delish! Its become part of our tradition every time we visit. The kids love it.
Called into this great Fish & Chip takeaway whilst visiting Looe/Polperro area. Really really good food! The staff were very friendly and helpful, food was served piping hot, and delicious batter on fish; all wrapped in good old traditional newspaper. Fish cooked to order, had a good queue going too and all seemed to be locals, which is a good sign. Tried other chippies in Looe over the years - including the one that's supposed to be the best - that one is always full of tourists!! Say no more.. I would definitely recommend Sal N Vinnies to anyone visiting Looe area. We'll certainly be back.
i dont get over to looe very often , but when i'm there i have to look up Sal n Vin ....easily the best fish n chips in the west .... all cooked fresh to order , always busy but you're never waiting too long ..... lovely large cod and great value for money .... i've heard they open all year round to keep up with local demand..!!!!! ...well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed
