Good food, nice friendly staff but bizarre lighting. Very bright so feels like you are in a canteen. However, would go again.

Haven't been for a while yet food and service remains the same. The variety and quality of food is superb and tonight's meal was no exception. I just hope Out of India remains a favoured restaurant in these difficult times.

Absolutely fantastic! I have used this place for years for both takeout and eat in and the quality is just the same whichever service you use. Highly recommended!

This is a great little restaurant. It's a place to relax with great food, and somewhere which is not to loud so you can hold a conversation with your table without having to shout. Staff here are very friendly and very helpful.

Out of India is a now long established Indian restaurant in Shepshed with an excellent reputation.
We dine here as a local treat a few times per year but we really ought to go more often to be honest. £20 per head will get you a drink, a share of poppadoms and pickles, a chef speciality main, a speciality rice and a share of a flavoured nann. Starve yourself beforehand and you might be able to spend a bit more and squeeze a starter or dessert in too.
The restaurant used to be a pub and still looks it from the outside but step inside and your greeted with a cosy sofa and bar area, that flows into a clean line modern dining room split into two sections.
The staff are fantastic and have a fun sense of humor sometimes delivered with a poker face. Very attentive, professional and always there to help.
The food itself is a treat for anybody who loves a good cooked Indian meal. Very tasty, comes as described so if it says hot and spicy on the menu then it will be, they don't hold back like some restaurants. There are plenty of dishes for those who like it mild and creamy. The chefs specialities make choosing a meal difficult, there are always so many nice choices on offer. Our meal choices this time were the spicy hot chicken rezalla (marinated chicken off the bone in a minced lamb and spicy chilli sauce) and the milder begum bahar from the takeaway menu (chicken in a buttery sauce over a bed of minced lamb) with onion fried rice.
The atmosphere is great, it can be very busy at times but service has always been good. There is a large car park to the rear and some spaces on the main road.
Thoroughly recommend.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. A very welcoming ambiance with staff being very attentive. A lively atmosphere, this place is always busy, booking is recommended. The food was excellent all served without a long wait in between courses. Complimentary chocolates and a hot shot to round the meal off beautifully.
