Fifty Three

Oh my! My first time visiting your little sandwich shop today and I'm super chuffed I came in! I had the chicken mozzarella and pesto forcaccia which was toasted perfectly and served with a fresh side salad and tasty coleslaw. No wilty sad salad in sight!! Whilst waiting for my sandwich to be freshly made I had time to eye up the yummy looking cakes on display and thought it would be rude not to leave with a couple! Viennese slice to die for and the salted caramel brownie has been on my mind since sampling it! 🤤 Thank you Fifty three finally a sandwich worth every penny. 👍

Try their afternoon tea if you want a real pick-me-up one weekend during lockdown. We ordered one for a weekend when we were supposed to be on holiday in the Lake District and had a floor picnic with our young daughter (they do child's portions too - she was delighted).It was really delicious and felt very special. Gluten free is available and isn't at all stingy (see photo), I had some sort of tasty fritata instead of the sausage roll and enjoyed all of it. In fact, writing this review is making me want to order again... Also bought a lovely hot chocolate and biscuit box for a gift for Christmas, very reasonably priced and beautifully presented, may see if they do similar things for birthdays.

Excellent, wonderful pancakes, I am hooked. Other food looked very tempting too. Very good service and friendly efficient staff. The hygiene second to none continual washing of hands ,wiping services etc.will certainly be back,only problem is small sitting area,maybe not a great idea to tell every one how good it is ,may not have space next time I visit.Good job they also do takeaways!!
