From the minute I made my first enquiry, to contacting me after the event, the communication and customer service was excellent. This was the first charity event I was organising in honour of someone very special so I was very apprehensive about everything going to plan and it being the right setting for such an event. I met with Paula and all my worries disappeared, I knew I was in the right hands. Paula was extremely helpful, she knew that it was a special event and paid attention to every detail, giving me suggestions that I hadn't even thought of myself. The team were very supportive, answering my emails and phone calls tentatively on a daily basis and attending to every need. Paula, Toni, Stavi and Lisa were consistently on hand to answer all my questions and ensure planning was in place and I thank you all for your patience and understanding throughout. Paula did everything she could to ensure I was organised for the day, including setting up a number of meetings, including a meeting with Hus (who was very helpful), to go over any IT concerns we had in preparation for the event. She was constantly checking in, making sure everything was on schedule which was very assuring and supportive, she made me feel at ease throughout. I cannot express how thankful I am to the whole team for making the event such a success. The team on the night were very attentive and helpful, Fin was constantly checking in to ensure I was happy and nothing was too much. He responded to every query I had without hesitation in such a genuine manner. The food and decor were outstanding. When I walked in the room, I was taken aback by how elegant and stunning it looked – the exact setting and ambience we wanted for our event and Paula and the team made sure of that. Thank you again for all your hard work and commitment to making the event such a success. I cannot recommend the venue and team enough and I look forward to planning the next event!

Wow what can I say. The kings oak event team executed our wedding perfectly. We had the best day!! It was honestly the most incredible venue. Paula and Linzi on the day were amazing making sure I was calm and everyone was in place and the day ran smoothly. The food was INCREDIBLE! So many people have said to me it’s the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Christian the toastmaster was lovely! The DJ provided was very good and really friendly! Photo Booth and chocolate fountain were included and were incredible, all the guests raved about them! I couldn’t fault the place. Thank you so much for making our dream wedding a reality, the venue is stunningly beautiful and every last detail is perfect.

Found the pub after a long walk across Epping Forest and had a nice spot of lunch. A wide selection of food including vegetarian options and range of hot and cold drinks. Had the Aubergine and rice which was tasty and filled me up for the afternoon. There is a beer garden and children's play area which is nice in the sunshine. There is an oyster 🦪 bar to the rear which was closed the week day afternoon I visited. The pub/restaurant sits alongside the historic Kings Oak Hotel 🏨. There is a public toilet located in the extensive car park. Lots of space for walks, cycling and enjoying the outdoors.

Attended on Tuesday with my family. Food was nice, service from a young lad called reece was fantastic, very friendly, polite and helpful. Bit disappointing to see other waiters/waitresses standing around not doing much and the young lad running everyone's food and drinks out to everyone outside, while one young waitresses seemed to scared to be outside flitting around in a panic because of the wasps..There was also a glass that was smashed all over the floor near to where we was sat, we mentioned it to reece who was very helpful to clear it up even tho he was given a litter picker rather than a brush which would have been better. Hopefully next time there will be more staff helping one another.

Amazing experience from Remi, Holly and Shay. Thank you for making it a lovely time for myself, my son and our friends. Lovely hospitality and the food was amazing. Great vibes honestly can’t wait to visit again 5*. The portion sizes are MASSIVE. Will 100% recommend visiting the oyster bar the most amazing fresh fish you can imagine.

I've just had my wedding here. What can I say, absolutely exceptional. Paula and her team were amazing completely on the ball, made every part run smoothly and seamless. They make you feel confident that they have it all under control. The bar/catering staff on the day were on point, constantly topping up drinks etc and the main girl (unfortunately forgotten her name) was so helpful right up until we finished. Even chasing up taxis for guests after they have locked up for the night! The venue all set up is stunning and the food was described as delicious by many of my guests. Fantastic service from start to end. The DJ mark knew exactly what tunes to play, and toastmaster Chris was so professional, friendly and really brought the day together beautifully. Could not recommend this venue and team enough if your planning a wedding/party!

Went to a 50th birthday party here in one of the function rooms. It seems a bit out of the way right near the forest, but it's easy to get to by car, and there's lots of parking. Good drinks selection at good prices and very friendly bar staff. There's a pool here which we didn't use and I would love to come back during the day.

Came here on a Saturday daytime to celebrate a birthday, we sat outside and had a meal, I had a cheese burger meal and others had fish and chips. Our son said it was the best fish he'd ever had!! The chips were banging! My daughter had a chicken burger, that wasn't dry like they usually are. First class dining experience!! This is reflected in the prices, my burger meal was over £12. But the food was worth it! It was very busy when we went plenty of people all outside occupying the vast benches there were. There is a play area outside, so very family friendly. You look out onto many trees of Epping forest, very pleasant pub. With plenty of staff.
