We went in October 23 no booking needed as it was a Monday. Our group had beer battered fish and chips and steak and ale pie. Both was absolutely delicious. The pie was off the chart ! All filled with huge chunks of steak and fabulous gravy.

This lovely place will be a pub I can call my local soon. Everyone loves the food there, for good reason, it is that good, I was there with friends and the biggest dog there ever was. The staff were super kind and the patrons there were too, that says a lot to me. Fantastic beers there, the landlord and the staff are a class act as well. Looking forward to going back!

We were visiting the area. Couldn't find any parking in the town centre and found this pub. Glad we did. Great wide variety menu. Fast efficient service. Wish it was local to us!

We live in Derby so not local, but visited a couple of years ago and was impressed. We returned as we were holidaying in the area and knew we would get good food and good service. We weren't disappointed.

Stopped here whilst on holiday in the wolds. Dog friendly, lovely pub garden with plenty of tables. Food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Called in for a snack on Saturday lunchtime. Helpful, friendly service and an excellent sandwich. Great beer too! Lovely local pub. Water bowl brought for our dog. We will definitely return.

Lovely pub in a great location. Drinks nice and cold and food very tasty. Second time at The Woolpack and this time had the large mix grill. All i can say is what a challenge but what a meal superbly cooked and well worth the money. Staff member was welcoming and attentive and pub was clean and tidy.
Another visit to this pub and once again staff and food superb. Not enough stars to add to this establishment.
