We stumbled upon this gem of a pub and we were very happy to see they had a table available in the restaurant. The service was amazing and food was incredible.
As a vegan, it was nice to see there were a couple of options for me, that weren't the typical plant based burger like other places offer. I finally went with the Quorn sausage and mash and OH MY GOD! So nice!
We've left very happy and can't wait to return to try other things on the menu.

Had a really lovely meal here today. The staff and in particular the owner Emma was so warm and welcoming; it really made our day. The food was cooked beautifully and everyone of us (4 people) really enjoyed our food. Nice cosy decor and pretty dining area. We will be back. Thanks.

Great accommodation, lovely quaint private rooms and an impressive breakfast in the morning, building is beautiful decorated and maintained, one of the better pubs/inns we have stayed at while travelling around the UK. Staff were super friendly morning and night!
Popped in for a cheeky pint whilst in the Village. Place oozes character, loved the surroundings and had a great tasting pint of Doom Bar bitter. Thanks Guys

We whent to gunthorpe lock yesterday, very disappointed, so I looked on Internet for place's to eat nr us & the old ship Inn came up , so off we went,
Had a absolutely brilliant meal, we both had the chicken bacon & mushroom tagatel, terrific, service was excellent, we will definitely be back, regards Brian Hart, nottingham.

Had a fabulous meal here before a music evening across the road from the pub. Gorgeous food, great value, and really friendly cheerful staff (it makes a real difference having lovely folk serving you!!!). The battered halloumi was delicious, highly recommended. Lovely decor .. we'll definitely be returning.

Had a lovely Sunday roast here today. Excellent service from the barstaff and servers. The roast is lovely. The beef was cooked perfectly and everything else tasted lovely. Will be returning again :)
Good value for money. The food was excellent and the prices were good. Staff very efficient and friendly well worth a visit and we will definitely be going back for another Sunday dinner
We were at a wake for a great friend....but the landlord and landlady went above and beyond....the buffet was lovely....thankyou very much x
How times have changed.
Excellent quality food lovingly prepared and served by staff who are attentive to the customers needs.
The chef along with the owners are improving and extending their menus for all customers needs. That said, there is limited access for the disabled because of height of the property from the road, entrance is via the carpark to the side. Drinks are reasonably priced with a good selection.
