The Duke's Head - Lowestoft - Photo album

The Dukes Head in Somerlyton provided the perfect setting for our book club meeting. The candlelit ambiance added a cozy touch, enhancing our discussions. The cocktails were truly amazing, each crafted with care, and the food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The staff was atten
Went there for 2 dinners while staying in the area. Lovely staff, really good food. Compliments to the kitchen. Quite quiet when we were there, but there's a big beer garden, so I would think it gets well busy in good weather!
Visited as a family of 6 after looking through many choices on Google, it caught my eye as the food looked freshly made from scratch so I called and they confirmed that it is. Husband and I had a burger and chips with some green leafy salad, the meat was really good quality, huge and filling however
Went in on the off chance as we were passing, not sure if they took dogs but was accommodated by the lovely lady behind the bar. food was exceptional, a little more pricy than other pubs but well worth the extra trust me. Service was spot on and the food was beautifully cooked and to top it off th
Me, my partner and our dog came here new year's day for a couple of drinks. Such a lovely warming, friendly country pub! The staff are so friendly, they take the time to have a little chat with you! Our little dog loved it so much, she was sitting with her paw on the bar! We will be back for food :)
Had a great evening at the DukesHead with the family, celebrating my granddaughters birthday. The food was very good, the service was excellent. The pub was full, mostly families enjoying great food in a great atmosphere. If you want somewhere different to go,the Dukes Head is a great place to visit
Fabulous food - excellent help on dietary advice
Great little pub in a nice area. Staff are always friendly and the pub is tucked away so it’s peaceful - fantastic in the summer and not too far to the train station.
Last night was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last. The menu is big enough to be well balanced but not so big that one starts to worry about ’ping’ cuisine! We had Mackerel fillets and smoked haddock chowder to start followed by the Rib-eye steak and chicken supreme. No room for puddi
Outside is the peaceful vibe in East Anglia! Food has exceptional nutritional value! Only lacking pool table & dart board to make the complete package!
Idyllic pub in a beautiful location. We received a lovely warm welcome and our dog received a lot of attention so she was happy! Food was outstanding and we can’t wait to return.
We found this gem by default, but very glad we did, as will be going back, now we know where it is.
I've always liked this place, it's atmosphere is relaxing and cosy, with an authentic large fireplace. This is a lovely place to eat and drink. The gardens are natural and spacious. The age group is a nice mix. I often visit there in the summer months.
Always a fantastic experience, . So cosy and dog friendly. Beautiful roast dinner and had a particularly fab dessert (white chocolate and passion fruit cheesecake on the specials board). Staff are lovely and we were lucky to be squeezed in on a busy Sunday lunch.
A birthday meal for 7, pre-booked well in advance. The only critique was service during the meal was very slow for drink orders, clearing courses etc. Its was a busy day and time with, I think only 4 waiting staff and we were tucked away however, this does not detract from amazing food, drinks and a
Incredibly kind staff. I wasn’t well on arrival and they went out of their way to help me. The food was modestly priced for the quality.
