The Joseph Conrad - Lowestoft - Photo album

An exceptional 'spoons in Lowestoft. Two levels of lovely dining areas with two bars. Standard spoons fayre and great staff as usual.
Pleasantly surprised by the food quality. Quick service and cheerful and polite staff. We ate before going to watch a show at The Marina and had plenty of time. Only negative was foul mouthed drunken natives, fortunately outside, a little off putting as you're about to enter as they're throwing chai
Huge venue, very cheap beer and food, polite and helpful staff and well managed. The app works well too for ordering tonyoue table. Well presented with a bit of character. Toilets are upstairs (as well as copious additional seating) but there is a lift to get there as well as stairs. For what they
I have been in Lowestoft in middle-March, during a research and study trip. The last day I was looking for something to eat and, in front of the train station, I found the Joseph Conrad! A large hall plenty of space, in very peaceful english atmosphere. Very good prices, particularly if compared to
Food drinl selections and staff its location excellent. Best spoons visited, and we have visited many .. all down to the friendly, hardworking staff. Well done 👏
Was able to get some food at 9pm on a Thursday evening when other places in the town had already stopped serving food much earlier. Although some dishes were out of stock (steaks), the festive menu was on, so I went with the chicken and stuffing burger. Pigs in blankets were unavailable, so I asked
Prices are very good for both food and drink. We ordered a rump steak and chips which was supposed to have a special steak seasoning and an ultimate burger. Unfortunately the special steak seasoning was just a pepper rub which was awful and the steak looked like it was plastic and well over cooked
Wow. £1.99 for breakfast. 11am Saturday morning busy but food and drink still served at a reasonable time. The place was clean and the food was great, hot and fresh. One of the better wetherspoons I've been to.
Today, on a very rare visit to Lowestoft my wife and I decided to have lunch at this establishment. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and I can only say that was the best curry that I have had outside a proper Indian restaurant. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Well done to all concerned.
I've been many times. 2 drinks for less than a fiver, 2 minutes from the beach. Shame it has a view of only the train station but the staff, service are great. There isn't really an atmosphere. The food is standard Wetherspoon grub. Mostly ready meals but breakfast, fish and chips and a few others a
Many customers have praised the pub for its good food and drinks, affordable prices, and friendly staff. Some have noted that the pub has a nice atmosphere, with comfortable seating and pleasant decor. In addition, many customers appreciate the pub's historic location, which was formerly a bank bui
Friendly and helpful bar staff. Food was served quickly and tasted good. Only down side is the marathon walk to the upstairs toilets, that are at the back of the upstairs restaurant, but they were lovely and clean
We visited the Joseph Conrad on Monday 24th July. As usual, it's my default setting for good food and drink. The atmosphere was cheery with holiday makers and although it was busy I knew we'd find a table straight away. The staff were pleasant and helpful as per, and the food arrived within minutes.
A typical Weatherspoons. Good value for money, with good service.
My wife and I both had traditional breakfast with a coffee for me and a tea for her. Service was very quick, and both breakfasts were delicious, although not piping hot but acceptable. I had an extra coffee after breakfast as it was "bottomless". The tables were clean and a server checked that we w
Been here a few times over the years, and have never had a disappointing experience. Service always great and quick. Food always to standard "Spoons" quality which I think is exceptional for the price. plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. Great location and easy to find/ get to.
