Only 2 minutes walk from the beach and lots of seating at the premises and on the grassy area by the cliff tops. There is a ample free public car park along with a few spaces out front.
It was lovely to see lots of food ready in the cabinet which meant our fish and chips were served immediately! This seems to have become a rarity with many fish and chip shops over the last few years. Staff were very polite and friendly. We will certainly be visiting again soon.

First visit, excellent service, food is cooked to order, fish and chips were the best in the Lowestoft area as the batter was very crispy, we returned today my husband had skate he said it was lovely and I had the large cod, superb, large flakes of white fish

Had cod and chips, was cooked fresh. Took advantage of the car park at end of the road with views out to sea. Will go again.

Found this place by chance as most chippies were closed for Mothering Sunday. Did have to wait about 20 minutes, BUT, that's what you get for freshly cooked to order.
The fish was superb..... couldn't complain and my wife and girls all said it was delicious.
Highly recommended and the staff couldn't do more to help and make sure you got a delicious chippy supper!
We'll be back!

Still a lovely chippy. Wasn't too busy today because of the weather. But food cooked to order was delicious, and as always friendly helpful staff.

I think this is a gem. Not on the tourist map but much liked and used by locals. Perfect location for buying then eating on beach close by. Polite and efficient service. There are other chip shops that win awards further down the coast but in my mind this is as good if not better. About £8-£10per head for medium cod/haddock and chips.

Today is the second time I have visited in a week, our Large haddock and chips were cooked to perfection, crispy chips, and haddock as white as snow. Perfect batter, large and mouthwatering fish. The young frier on duty really knows his stuff and the front of house young man so polite, and really appreciates your custom. Two traits not altogether visible elsewhere locally. Without doubt the BEST EVER fish and chips ANYWHERE. THANK YOU GUYS😇😇😇😇😂🤣🙏

The chips are a little bit dry, definitely not as good as Gibbs but the nuggets and batter sausage are very tasty.

First visit to Pakefield and we came across this fish and chip shop. We were very impressed; the fish was cooked to order and the medium was more than I could eat. The chips were crunchy and hot (nothing's worse than a floppy chip).
The chap serving was friendly and when he realised we planned to eat them on the beach he gave us some napkins.
I'm not a pensioner, but I was very impressed that they had a pensioners meal as a normal menu item instead of just on Mondays, so looking after the local community.

Both times I visited my battered sausage and chips were excellent.
Prices seemed reasonable for a chippy so close to the beach, and the service was efficient and friendly.
The small covered outdoor seating area was a welcome bonus.

In a perfect world id have the fish from Perry's and the chips from the chippy from the chip shops I've visited. But that's not going to happen. There are a lot of exceptional fish and chip shops in the area, this place certainly is one of them. It tastes just like the fish and chips from the golden fish shop in my opinion, and is a similar price which is a fantastic thing as this is another favourite. The chips here are delicious, not greasy at all and the fish is served fresh. If I could I'd score this place 4.5 overall, only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because the cashier was chewing gum which is not professional, but he was polite and did a great job! Strangely I was served 2 pieces of fish rather than one. Probably not normal. This is only my first visit having heard great things about it from work colleagues. I would definitely recommend this place.

Coming from the North West of England and living near numerous excellent fish and chip shops, I was blown away by the standard of these fish and chips. Good sized portion, nice and dry,. Well worth the money.

Squeaky clean fish n chippery with old church pews for the many customers to sit and wait while everything was freshly cooked in vegetable oil.
The chips were new potatoes which are not as good as 'old' but usual for the time of year and the batter on the fresh (not frozen) cod was perfectly crisp.
All served in eco friendly cardboard boxes and you get a free bottle of pop if you spend over £20!
We sat on one of the many cliff top benches to enjoy the view of the fishing boats working while we feasted.
Clearly this 'Plaice' has upped their game since the last review. Well worth a visit - as is the nearby church and splendid beach (also very clean).
NB Pakefield is one one of the earliest known areas of human habitation in the UK as flint tools and teeth from the water vole Mimomys savini, a key dating species, were found in the cliffs in 2005 . This suggests that hominins can be dated in England to 700,000 years ago.
Though sadly they would have been chipless :-)
