Great place, especially as one nearby pub seem to be trading on their name only.
Yeah, after finally finding this "Rose&Crown"(as it's a little hidden), it'll be the only pub I will spend my money in next time I come back here!

My family stumbled upon the Rose & Crown when walking around Ludlow trying to find somewhere to eat on a Saturday evening after arriving in the area earlier that day. We found a table without any problems and ordered at the bar. The pub has a lot of character and is very atmospheric, which is not surprising given how old it is. We ordered the burgers and sausage & mash which were all very tasty. I also had a pint of Guinness which was one of the best pints I’ve had outside of Dublin. ☘️

Great place for a beer (really liked the ‘Slumbering Monk’) and to enjoy the history on the walls. Nice fish and chips. Excellent friendly service.

We were lucky enough to have lovely weather fornour stay in Ludlow so sat in the spacious beer garden. We also stayed for food which was delicious!! The best fish and chips we've had in a long time!

Food and drink acceptable. Service rather hurried as near the cut off time for food orders. They insisted half a sandwich, which was not eaten at the time, should be wrapped for us to take away but it never materialised.

Really good pub, nice ales, friendly staff and a recent refit that makes the most of a historic building. Good band on last time I was in too.
