The Olive Branch

Staying overnight in Ludlow & tried to book into a local pub/restaurant which was fully booked. So booked into The Corner House & so glad we did. Amazing food & excellent service. Tempura prawns to start with a lovely light batter. The Steak was cooked to perfection with delicious home made chips. My husband had the rack of lamb, again cooked superbly. Just had to say thank you to the chef as he finished for the day. Definitely Don't walk past this little gem of a restaurant.

Beautiful food, I walked past and saw the special on a board outside, it sounded too good not to try. I think it was the best meal I've had in a long time. Pork with sticky rice. The pork was cooked to perfection and the rice was beautifully sticky. It was so good I even had pudding, a stunning crumble. Even better I didn't want to cry when the bill came. Extremely well priced. I would definitely recommend. I will be back.

My wife and I have been to the Friday Fish Menu Dinner twice. What a lovely place. The Starters are well prepared - tempura prawns in a crisp batter and hot dip sauce and the fishcake with a poached egg on top really stood out from the menu selection we enjoyed. The Mains included Cornish Hake, which was excellent and you can have a selection of 3 different fish for a £3 supplement, which was very reasonable. Each main comes with a selection of side dishes and a range of sauces to suit your fish. The home cooked chips were great! They also have home prepared desserts including a wild berry crumble. Yum! Wine list was limited, but the wines we have chosen so far were complementary to our meals. The whole menu was without the usual, easy kitchen compromises and this makes the Corner House stand out in a very positive way.
