Squirrel

Had a lovely evening meal out with family and friends followed by breakfast the following morning. Steaks were cooked just how we like them, the other meals were excellent. Full English breakfast plus pancakes for one of our party was a lovely start to the day. The service was excellent at dinner and breakfast and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and polite making both the evening and morning an excellent experience for us and our friends. Thanks to Tash and Hannah and , of course all of the kitchen staff. The pub was very clean and tidy so a great deal of thanks should also go to Margie who has the task of keeping it in such good order, couldn’t fault it in any way. Meals excellent, service excellent, staff excellent, overall experience, excellent, thanks to everyone at The Squirrel !

I was so disappointed they no longer have the chicken rotisserie thing, really fancied some wings! However, opted for a light lunch of calamari and fries, I have to say, the calamari was simply marvellous, the fries, well, they're fries, even I can cook them. Oh....on my last visit you had Heineken on draught, gutted you no longer do!

Friendly greeting at the door, asked about food allergies/intolerances. Showed us straight to our table even though we were a bit early, happy and cheerful throughout, checking if we wanted more drinks etc. Excellent service, the best we’ve ever had at The Squirrel. Food was great, everyone really enjoyed the evening

Fantastic food an atmosphere. I went here today (12/10/2023) with my eldest son Stephen who's birthday it was and my big sister Jane and her partner Eric. We had around of drinks and a 2 course meal which was fantastic. The service was great especially Helen Price who booked the table for us. I would recommend this to my friends and family

Stopped in The Squirrel for breakfast as we had stayed the night at the Travel lodge next door. The Squirrel itself is a lovely pub/restaurant. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Helen served us and was extremely accommodating, kind and friendly. The service was quick and Helen was very attentive. The full English breakfasts were the best we have had in a long time. Fresh produce and very well cooked. The eggs where bright orange! Yet again when we paid at the end Helen was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you 😊

I had a pit stop close by with work so popped in one evening and well to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The place is great, the staff are great and the food was excellent. I was quickly served my drinks and the service was near perfect. A special mention to the lady that served us, Helen I’m sure her name was off memory, she went above and beyond to make my time at the restaurant run as smoothly as possible. I think she could tell that I wasn’t from the area due to my accent and the look of confusion on my face no doubt when I was looking for the bathroom. She was there waiting hand and foot every time I turned around or had a question. Thanks again Helen you superstar! Overall I would be more than happy to come here again and I will be coming here again when I next stop by with work. I look forward to the steak again, I recommend medium-rare as it was cooked perfectly, well done team. 5 Stars.
