Itadakizen Ludlow

We have visited the sister restaurant in Shrewsbury a lot over the last few years and this is the 1st time we have tried the Ludlow restaurant. The food here is excellent a small menu which is always a good sign because unlike those places with copius offerings the food here is all fresh and home cooked. We especially enjoyed the vegan sushi. Would very much recommend if you are in Ludlow.

Was in Ludlow this weekend to visit some old university friends. Stumbled across this amazing little vegan restaurant by accident after finding out the medieval festival was closed. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, we ended up speaking for 20 minutes about all things Japan. The menu was small (although this is temporarily I believe during covid), there were only a few items on the menu, however all of the dishes were beautifully presented. We tried the spicy tofu don, the sushi set and the bibimbap, which were all amazing. The bibimbap was an interesting Japanese take on a Korean dish and it was absolutely delicious, the aubergines were just incredible! Home cooked Japanese cooking at its best, and at a very reasonable price too. Went back for seconds a few days later. Will definitely visit again when I return to ludlow in the new year.
