This is a lovely, friendly, welcoming village pub, with a large outside area, perfect for an al fresco tipple and outside events.
Laura and her team are brilliant, offering various events throughout the year, from a Christmas Market, to special occasions such as the Coronation and fundraisers for good causes, karaoke and live music. The monthly quiz night is another highlight and very well done, with a yummy cheese and charcuterie board included. A great night enjoyed by all. Details of events are on Facebook.

Lovely proper pub which has been refurbed into two large spaces but retains pub character and has kept its dartboard. The best feature is independent cask ales and in my visit there were two on supplied by the local Farr's Brewery.

Popped in for a quick pint on a cold Tuesday afternoon. Landlady was welcoming and served a nice pint. With a real fire and the World Cup I didn't want to leave.

We popped in for drinks last night, freshly decorated, new staff new management and all lovely. Really friendly atmosphere, they are also looking for a chef, so pleased to hear they will be doing good pub food as soon as. Lyn.

Love this pub. Although I don't live in the area I always make a point of stopping off when passing Slip End. Good food, friendly, efficient service and lovely beer. Staff have been great during this part of lockdown - especially attentive to outside drinkers. Proper pub.

Delicious food! Staff are so friendly and Manuela is just a treat to talk to! Lovely Farr Brew beers on tap alongside a varied gin and spirits offering. Will be recommending to all my friends.

A brilliant pub. Friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Manuela and Manu are great, and you will always be well looked after. So glad we chose it for my mother-in-law's 60th - it was spot on!

Great local pub. Been restored to glory by the guys at Farr Brew. Had a very pleasant couple of hours in the bar. Felt at home instantly, Alex the barman looked after us and was very attentive and knowledgeable. All round good experience.
