I had the pleasure of visiting The Globe Inn while staying locally at an Airbnb. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging, making us feel right at home. The pub's atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with cheerful locals adding to the friendly vibe. One of the standout features was their dog-friendly policy, and our four-legged friend, Doug, received plenty of attention from both the staff and locals. They even ensured Doug stayed hydrated with a bowl of water and a few treats – a thoughtful touch! Now, let's talk about the food. We went all out and indulged in three courses, and every dish was a culinary delight. I must highly recommend their Camembert with bread and chutney; it was absolutely divine. The quality of their produce truly shone through, especially in the fantastic sausage and mash. And for dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was a true winner, satisfying my sweet tooth perfectly. The Globe Inn is a fantastic choice whether you're staying in the area or planning a special trip. Kudos to Gary, the landlord, for creating this wonderful traditional pub restaurant with exceptional food and a genuinely friendly country pub atmosphere. Special thanks also to our server, Darcy, who ensured our dining experience was top-notch. Although I live 20 miles away, I will be coming back for another visit for sure.

Great food, with interesting flavours and attentive service, made for an excellent experience. It does not come cheap though, but is worth the money. Great selection of beers too.

A small group of 3 of us went for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious, the price was good and the staff were great. We will be going again and I recommend it to everyone.

The best food locally - high quality and presentation, a good range, not just your normal pub fare and all meals absolutely delicious. Honestly! Mid range prices. Service absolutely excellent from all staff. Highly recommended and will be visiting again and again

Genuinely one of the nicest dining experiences I've had for some time. We booked as a large group of twelve and were asked to preorder (fully reasonable) it appeared the full menu was still offered which was lovely. Our server was delightful and took time with the table despite it being a very hit and busy Saturday night and having a trainee with her. Food was great, top quality good pub food. Drink selection was likewise great. It was fantastic to see FoH and kitchen working together with great support from management. Especially given the heat. Highly recommended

1st visit. Lots of good recommendations from locals. Thought my Bream was a bit skinny but for £18 was probably good value. Service leisurely. 2hrs for 2 courses but that's the vibe. Beautiful home cooked food in a great pub with a lively vibe which is sadly declining locally. Will visit again. Do go.

We had a lovely meal here. The Globe came recommended so my expectations were high and it did not disappoint. Service was great as was the food. We especially appreciated the wide range of dairy free options.

We booked (thankfully as they were full) for Sunday lunch a week ago. Everything here was absolutely amazing! The staff are super friendly, being both greeted and farewelled by the landlord was great; and the staff themselves were friendly, accommodating and very respectful of us wanting to take a bit of time to decide on our order and have a drink. Even one of the locals joined in chatting to us, which was awesome. The pints were amazing... some of the best cask ales we've had since arriving here. Sunday lunch was exceptional... definitely the best we have ever had. Well worth the visit on all accounts... location, food, service, friendliness. Thanks for having us... from the Kiwi's!

What an amazing first visit to this place. An awesome menu and some cracking beers on cask, but what really made this place stand out was the staff and the general vibe of the place. We received the best of welcomes from a staff member who did everything she could to accommodate us, despite being fully booked, and made sure we were able to dine here. Each and every staff member we interacted with were just lovely, and the service was bang on. They all made a simple bite to eat all the better. If the landlord is reading this, you owe each member of your team a large glass of wine, as they go above and beyond, and do it with a smile.

Excellent food, staff were amazing, made to feel welcome, nothing was too much for them. Starters, mains and puddings were excellent, with a good menu. All in all, chuffed to have such a nice lace to go, not to far from where we live.. Will definitely go back and would definitely recommend it.
