What a Sheer delight. We fancied some tea and scones while on our Dorest vacation hunting for fossils at Charmouth beach. We googled our options and fancied the idea of Black Dog Tea Room so set the sat nav and were on our way. The view from Black Dog was stunning and the staff were all beautiful and friendly and the food was out of this world. I had the bacon and brie sandwich and it was one of the very best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The scone was hot and fresh and smelled beautiful and was a real treat. All the breads are baked on site and most of the food used is sourced locally. I also picked up a book by a local poet that was there too. Do yourself a favour and stop by.

Honestly the most prettiest place and the sweetest staff ever! We stopped in one morning for breakfast and sat in the garden which was stunning. The staff were absolutely amazing especially the lady who served us with the short dark hair. She was adorable and kept on calling us "my darlings", which was really sweet. One lady even took some seed pods from one of the plants I was looking at in their garden and put them in an envelope for me to take home. It's quite pricey however their bread was home made and the food was so tasty! Thank you to all of the staff there who made the end of our holiday really memorable. We will definitely go back there when we are in Lyme Regis again :)

Visited in July and the scones were amazing! Husband enjoyed the loose leaf tea and I had a great coffee to go with my scone. Plus the cream is actual clotted cream. We will definitely come back!

Lovely little tearoom making some amazing, traditional food, the scones are truly wonderful (make sure to save space to gobble one up)! Accompanying the cozy decor is the fabulous service from the staff, definitely a gem that can be easily missed.

What a delight! Stopped on the way to Lyme Regis and this gem had a car park outside. Dog friendly is an understatement! Really nice little garden to sit in on a sunny day.

We stopped at The Black Dog Tea Room on our way to Lyme Regis after reading good reviews online. We weren't disappointed. We enjoyed a very good cream tea each - warm scones that were a good size and with proper clotted cream (one scone per cream tea). We were welcomed by a friendly host and felt comfortable in the main cafe area looking out to the fields at the back. The café was fairly busy as a large group of cyclists had arrived at the same time, however, there's plenty of additional seating in a new area at the back. Plus, garden seating on a warm day. We'd highly recommend this lovely tea room and we'll definitely return when we're next in the area.

If you want an amazing cream tea this is the place to go. The scones were the best I've ever tasted and come with plenty of jam and clotted cream. The garden is really beautiful and the staff are so friendly. All the food I saw other people ordering looked delicious. I would highly recommend you visit.
