We had whitebait, mussels and scallops. All excellent. The whitebait was the best I've had. Huge plate of mussels. Owner's a character.

Stopped for lunch and a glass of wine and was so pleasantly surprised. Perfectly prepared scallops and a sumptuous fish chowder was absolutely fabulous. Fish and chips was also delicious. Topped off with friendly and fast service makes this a seaside gem.

Great location, wonderful view across Lyme Bay, staff were really good, set us a table to take in that view from inside (lovely day, all the outside seating was full) made a fuss of our 1yr old, and were attentive but not obtrusive. I had the crab sandwich, I will be having another!

If you walk past the Ocean View with going to eat you probably would made the biggest mistake.
Absolutely wonderful eats & Drinks, relaxed company with a warm welcome. Most definitely the best fish & chips with wonderful full flavor pea's.

Food is superb, and staff are very friendly and attentive.
Only slight issue is only one high chair so our little one had to sit on our laps.

Family lunch... Really nice. Excellent food, I had the lasagne special and it was! Everyone had a good time and liked the food. Service was pleasant too. Even Freddie the dog enjoyed it.....

Gorgeous sitting by a mill pond sea in bright January sunshine at Lyme today. Delicious Scallops and Fish Pie. Divebombing seagull went straight into neighbouing table's soup. They're big birds up close and personal so scary but no harm done and soup was quickly replaced.

Nice place by the sea with really nice view, friendly staff. Seems to be a family run business. Food is delicious enough and fresh. ( We had mussels, fish and chips and squid ) a little pricey as starters are £8-£10 and mains are £15-£18 , but I think this is the price range you will be looking at in this area with the restautrest. Unless there is also a fish and chip shops nearby which sells cheaper food. But overall good experience.

2 visits. 2 impeccable steaks. Great service and the owner made us feel very welcome. I'm not sure where the bad reviews come from. Perfect view in mid-summer too.
