The food was excellent. The chips were so delicious. Great slight crunch on the outside and thick and soft inside. The schnitzel was pleasant. A slight pinch of salt would have been better, but there was salt and pepper on the table.
The staff was nice. The seating area was also very nice too.
We liked this pub so much that we visited twice on a weekend, for food and drinks.
Great pub food choices and a really cool design. The sandwiches we tried were delicious, and they had two different gluten free options. I tried the salt beef with emmental in the gluten free bun and it was very tasty
Fantastic roast dinner, even extra gravy was provided which was great. Service was fantastic and they do welcome dogs, just remember to mention you have a dog and they will seat you accordingly.
Booked a table for four on a Saturday evening. Had a warm welcome. Staff friendly. Food was excellent. Would very much recommend this pub. Thank you all.

This wasn't your ordinary pub food. It was amazing! We would definitely return!!
Excellent roast, if not cheap. Good range of beers. Wines also good apparently. Garden is a good size.

Could improve on the food quantity because the salad were good but not enough for the price we spent.
Other food was in good quantity so it went well but salads with nice quantity would have been even better.

What a find. Finding space for 5 and two dogs for Sunday lunch and seeing owtons meat on the menu gave a good feeling. The Sunday lunch was amazing. Meat melted in the mouth, cauliflower cheese absolutely delicious and the rest of the veg perfectly cooked and presented. Topped off with a delicious b
I ate here at lunch time but I'm sure the atmosphere isn't how it would be in the evening. The food was really good. I had a burger which was cooked really well. The lunchtime wraps look very good. Generally a really nice pub!
Very positive experience at The Fox & Hounds in Lyndhurst. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. Good impression about the service and the furniture of the pub. A good example of a Chef and Brewer pub with their standard menu. There is plenty of seating inside and out without being crammed together.
The staff were very helpful and friendly 🙂. The food was up to C & B standards, we had the steak ciabatta to compare to the Red Lion in Avebury and the Cold Ha
Food menu was varied but fairly limited. Ate fish and chips which was lovely. Kitchen closes relatively early, wouldn't let us order desert 2 minutes after close. Table clearance was slow. Bar service was fine. A locals pub with lots of upper middle class ale and gin drinkers. Live music was playing
The staff are lovely, there's a roaring fire when it's cold and the food is delicious. There's a quiz night on Monday evenings (£1 per person) which is really enjoyable, beautiful cosy decor and dog-friendly (as long as it's on a lead and not in the restaurant part of the pub).
