The Wellington Arms

Ahhh...well what can I say about this here Legend of a Shirley Drinking Mans (& Ladies) establishment!! For a start the bar has been there for years!!! (If u wanna redo it I'll empty out my jar! Work a deal out 😉) Covered in Copper Coins so strictly no scrap metal merchants making a bid before I've worked out my deal...thankyou...anyway I digress, it's a wonderful watering hole with a diverse and interesting bunch of reprobates, of which I add... no end of interesting conversation with the locals will leave you supping more ales and wasting away an hour or 4! Great Staff, Great Establishment, Great Beer (so I hear), Great entertainment and well....Just Great! What I would call..... a Happy place!

Friendly old-fashioned local pub. Good choice of well-kept and varied beers. Pleasant and friendly service. Excellent selection of music played loud enough to hear what's playing but quiet enough not to interfere with conversation at all. There's room in the back bar to sit fifteen people for a group chat or you can sit in the front bar in an alcove made for two. Your choice. It's good enough that I walk past six other places I could drink on my way to this one - it's my pub of choice.
