Empanada Lady Food Truck

Enjoyed Chicken & Potato Empanadas & Beef Empanadas, along with yummy Sweet Plantains! My granddaughter suggested Take Out after I picked her up from Camp. Although, I didn't meet The 'Empanada Lady', I did meet the Empanada Sales lady! She was very nice & even gave a taste of plantains to my granddaughter to try! My son loves them, too. Many varieties of Empanadas available, as well as Samosas, which I'd like to try, so, Will return again to taste more. 🙋💕

Cynthia's Empanada Lady food truck was the star feature at my kids' graduation party. Yes, the empanadas are delicious! But on top of that, she takes great pride in her business and she treated me like family. We had 75 teenagers over and everyone raved about the food! Cynthia is a beautiful person and I will definitely be visiting and hiring her food truck again.

I want to thank FIOS1 Restaurant Hunter and Christine Sloan for shining a light on this location. I drive on Bloomfield Ave twice a day to and from work. I never knew some good food was close. We stop in today and I am so glad we did. We was greeted upon our entrance walked to the counter to place our order. My wife ordered two empanadas which ones I don't remember. I on the other hand ordered three one of each carnivore, vegetarian and sweet tooth. Buffalo chicken and gorgonzola, spinach and feta along with guava and cream cheese. Our daughter ordered two empanadas spinach and feta, kale, plantains and cheese. My wife ordered a side of sweet plantains. Now these empanadas are nothing to laugh about hefty hearty fulfilling. While waiting we were asked if you would like to try bread pudding. Of course after our meal my wife got some bread pudding to go. I will to no other place for empanadas except Empanada Lady Cafe.

Nails the puffy, flakey skin of a fried empanada. The filings are well-balanced, one of my favorites being the Kale & Plantain empanada, whose plantains and white wine respectively contribute sweet and sour notes. I witnessed a cuban ex-pat raving about the cuban sandwich; how can you top that? I call her praise, and raise in regards to the side of yuca fries. The garlicky mojo sauce coating the light but starchy slices will slay your taste buds - seriously out of control. Rolling around town you may see their "big, beautiful, pink food truck" that mirrors the cafe's atmosphere of a midcentury Caribbean getaway.
