This place is definitely a place to go. I ordered Chips and battered sausages and it was brilliant. And the service was brilliant. The waiting time for the food was quick and the drinks are great. If i ever got the chance i would definitely come back here. It is next to a main road so you also have some good views out the window. And the price was reasonably good.
As good as its reputation. We both had the lunchtime special which was excellent. The waiter was very friendly and polite and service as prompt.
What a fantastic place to get really tasty food to go - lunchtime special deal was a steal for fish, chips and a drink! Fish and chips were delicious and curry sauce was superb. Would highly recommend on a sunny day to grab a takeaway here and find a nearby bench or spot of grass to sit and enjoy. Service was quick and efficient with a smile. What more could you want? Will definitely be visiting again!

We ate here last night and were very impressed by the staff. Extremely polite, attentive and efficient young boys. A short wait for food which was fresh and piping hot when it arrived. Well cooked with crispy batter on the fish. My only negative would be that the skin was kept on the bottom of the fish, which I don't like. It was rather fiddly picking that off, but didn't detract from the taste and was just my personal preference.
We would definitely return and give this chippy and it's staff 10/10!
This is one of two fish and chip restaurants we regularly use in the Forest. 11 of us decended with no notice on Sunday evening for a sit down meal after a weekend trip to the Isle of Wight. The young people who served us did a fantastic job with barely one meal the same. Welcoming, friendly and professional and a credit to the establishment owners. Food as always cooked wonderfully. Thanks guys and girls, you finished our all ready great weekend superbly.
Are second time here on holiday .we didn’t think it could get better and it did .there was 8 of us in the restaurant .professional staff excellent fresh food and will definitely be back .5 ⭐️
Great haddock, chips and mushy peas. Very reasonably priced. You can BYO with NO corkage charge. They'll even give you a glass. Lovely young waiter. No background music playing. Don't change that. We could hear ourselves speak. At some point all the diners started chatting. It felt very light, sociable and friendly. A really nice evening. Thank you.
Excellent portion sizes, staff very welcoming, pointed out money saving offers, food was quickly served and very tasty. The fish especially was very fresh tasting and the batter was crispy and light. Value was good as well, better than you'd expect to pay in a tourist hot spot. Would thoroughly recommend
Came out to have Fish and Chips as a Family to have a Birthday dinner. Loved the quality of food and the warm welcome...Very Clean and Tidy place. Everything was Lovely even the perfect Onion rings...Would definitely recommend to everyone and also shall Vist again soon. Special mention :-Thankyou to the 2 harworking Boys .
