Pete's Chippy has always been my favourite fish and chip shop. From the aquarium in the entrance, to the great portions, the light and crispy fish, and some of the best chippie chicken nuggets you'll find - it has a lot going for it. You can get take away but they also have a seating area with table service at the back, and they offer smaller portions (as well as the standard big ones) for those with smaller appetites - my Nana loves it there. The staff are lovely, the place is always super clean and the food freshly fried. Enjoy it every time we go!

Really nice chips we shared between two which was plenty from a regular portion for us fish and batter beautiful my friend said how nice it was compared to last chippy tea we had from another place. Will definitely be back.

Always a great example of the Great British staple.. good old fish and chips.. mushy peas are great as well, as are the sausages and puddings. Gravy and curry sauces are delectable… always friendly service.. one of the best.

Not been to petes chippy for years , . But called after work tonight sat 7th , it was amazing . Best fish chips mushy peas and curry sauce , my husband and I have had in a very long time .thx

My family really like this Chip shop, as they offer Gluten-free chips, as they are cooked seperately from all the batter- covered options. Staff are welcoming & friendly!

I have from here every Thursday, with my colleagues & residents. Fabulous chippy.. we all love it. Can't find a fault. Home made fishcakes to die for & amazing salad, for a chippy. Lush 😋

We came late in an evening just before they closed. The fish and chips were lovely. Not greasy at all. Best chippy in Macc in my view. Won't be going elsewhere in future 👍

Been here twice in the last fortnight. Eaten in both times with my daughter who is an expert in the realm of crispy fish and chips. The cod is perfectly cooked and batter crispy to perfection. Having walked past this unassuming place for years little did I know how simply brilliant it is. Very reasonably priced. Two small cod and chips and two drinks eating in for £9 is very good in my book. Pete delivers a winner. Staff polite and friendly. In a mad world this is a little safe port to rest up and feast.

I’ve ate fish and chips all my life and all over the world, I’m Scottish and we have the finest fish and chips ! It’s a fact!Pete’s Chippy was recommended to me so I went there last night, I got haddock and chips! It was magnificent and the batter on the fish was crispy just like it should be! The service was brilliant, lovely ,friendly people! If you live near this chippy even better, if you don’t its worth driving miles to get to it! An absolute gem!👍

Couple of the new staff are not always on the ball.
Be nice if they stayed open a little longer in the evening or open on a Sunday

Great chippy. Been coming here for year and have seen it change hands. The new owners have kept the great taste and friendly approach! Very clean and you can eat inside aswell! Toilets are up stairs and you do have to go upstairs to get in so not great for wheelchair users etc. Staff very friendly and helpful.
