Love this pub since Sue & Dale have become the landlords. The food is delicious with 100% attention to detail on presentation. Friendly atmosphere with lovely bar staff and a nice selection of draft beers and wines with always some kind of entertainment on over the weekends.

6 friends booked in for lunch and we couldn't have been more pleased Food was excellent , piping hot, well presented . There is an adequate menu for choice and a specials board. We found the service very friendly and accommodating. Made to feel very welcome Definitely recommend Ps. We went through

Called in today wed 25th Oct.for first time for lunch.lovely old pub.good homemade food.the landlord and landlady were so friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough.even let me go and look upstairs at the old haunted rooms.would definitely recommend. Wish we had a local pub like that.dont live near

Popped in the other day for some food and a drink with friends. It’s been taken over by new management and it was amazing. Great food and service and a lovely environment. So much improved. We will be back. Well done.

Superb decor, new managers have created a wonderful environment. Extremely tasty food, fab entertainment. Seeped in history and wonderful pictures, this pub should soar.

The service was friendly and the food was superb. I couldn't fault anything. I would highly recommend going to The Bate Hall for food or for a drink if that's all you want.

Lovely lil pub great beer and gins . Every time I've been in there its not been packed and i like that to be honest. Could do with new furniture and maybe some better and louder music but anyway i would go again. I did ask for food but thwy said they was not serving it anymore . But hey good drink

This place has changed in many good ways. Instead of filthy windows they now shine. The whole place looks like a very different pub.

Much, much better under the new management. Good food and service, very clean and a nice beer garden.
