Called in today wed 25th Oct.for first time for lunch.lovely old pub.good homemade food.the landlord and landlady were so friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough.even let me go and look upstairs at the old haunted rooms.would definitely recommend. Wish we had a local pub like that.dont live near macclesfield just visiting,but will definitely try this pub again.

Love this pub since Sue & Dale have become the landlords. The food is delicious with 100% attention to detail on presentation.
Friendly atmosphere with lovely bar staff and a nice selection of draft beers and wines with always some kind of entertainment on over the weekends.

6 friends booked in for lunch and we couldn't have been more pleased
Food was excellent , piping hot, well presented . There is an adequate menu for choice and a specials board. We found the service very friendly and accommodating. Made to feel very welcome

Popped in the other day for some food and a drink with friends. It’s been taken over by new management and it was amazing. Great food and service and a lovely environment. So much improved. We will be back. Well done.
