The best chips I have had from a chip shop in years! Plus the fishcake was amazing , and even the mushy peas and gravy were special. Way above the average expectations of a small local chip shop. Highly recommended.
This is a new chippy on the site of the old, so any reviews prior to October 2018 refer to that one. This new Chippy is great. The staff are friendly and well organised. The prices are good as are the portion sizes. The Haddock was perfect. Just the right balance with the batter. Another plus point is that they take card payments whereas the old chippy didn't. It's a smart operation and I hope they do well. Nice to have the local chippy back again.

Saturday night had fish, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce.
The batter was crisp and everything else was great, highly recommend, lovely staff at the counter, will be back.

Best fish and chips in Macc. Generous portion of fresh cod with great batter and top notch crispy chips. Plus excellent curry sauce.

Really good improvement from the previous owners. I've only ever had the lunchtime offer but always find the fish or puddings well cooked. Chips are nice and crunchy and the sides are lovely. Keep up the good work guys!
Excellent local chip shop with good service and great food. Food typically cooked from fresh so there is a short wait. Limited menu which is reflected in the good quality and freshness. Prices seem good. Plenty of parking nearby. Haddock is the only fish on offer.
