Took the Hubby out for his lunch . This place is a wee hidden gem . We both had soup . Cullen Skink for him Green Pea for me . It was delish . Lovely place ,lovely service and very reasonable indeed . Will defo be back . Thanks x

The perfect spot for lunch after a trip to the Aquarium; just a 1 minute walk from door to door. The owner made a big effort to rearrange tables to fit us in and we could tell the food would be good as lots of locals were in with almost every table in use!
The fish & chips, scampi & chips and macaroni were all too tasty to photograph before they disappeared! Very fresh and perfect portion sizes. Very friendly for little children and happy to go slightly off menu for the baby which was a big help so she really enjoyed her lunch despite painful teething.
Will definitely be back and this is obviously the place to go for food here…but good idea to book if you can as it’s clearly very popular!
What a LOVELY place. Such a warm welcome and great service. The food was easily catered for all ages (kids menu and both small and normal options on the adult menu). The food tasted great too. Our youngest really wanted a sandwich, which wasn't on their menu, but they went the extra mile by making one for her. The filter coffee was very good and I was given free refills too. We then popped back later in the day for takeaway cups of teas and my Mother-in-Law, who is notoriously fussy and unimpressed with cafes and restaurants, was full of praise for how lovely the cup of tea was. They even went to the effort of getting me a small box to carry the 5 drinks in. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely go back. I would highly recommend it.
Went for lunch today with my father. Home made soup was fantastic and my father had the spicy Cajun chicken. They gave him a small portion and also made sure it was not too spicy. Very clean place and lovely staff. Food was cooked fresh. Highly recommended!
We were recommended to this restaurant and were not disappointed. My husband had Macaroni Cheese which he said was delicious and I had Cajun Chicken which was succulent with just enough spice, very tasty. The food was freshly cooked by Jimmy and a huge apple pie disappeared before our eyes, my husband had the first slice and by the time we left the whole pie was gone. Lorraine gave excellent front of house service despite a very busy lunchtime. We look forward to a return visit.
