Lovely cosy atmosphere, makes your meal a very relaxing experience. Outstanding food, served by very pleasant staff (Amber Manager and Alice waitress). Tried Welsh Rarebit (💖), scotch eggs and breaded prawns from the snacks menu, followed by Goats cheese & beetroot tart as a starter. Followed up with Venison and Cod fillets as our mains and ended with Rice pudding and chocolate fondant for dessert. Restaurant has its own car park with plenty of parking and a lovely garden for sitting outside. I would thoroughly recommend dining here.
Birthday lunch. Fabulous menu with some different delicious twists. Decent portions. Lovely service - cheery and courteous. Lovely restaurant and cute bar. Really cosy but good 80’s tunes playing! Such a find and only 7 minutes from one of us! Will be back a lot. Thank you for the birthday plate - very kind. Anybody reading this go eat there!
First time I’ve been here since the new owners took over. The food is fantastic and the service was impeccable. Atmosphere was nice and it was great value. I’d strongly recommend this as one of the best local restaurants.
A truly special restaurant! Top notch hospitality from the Chef Bonwick's family, and above all spectacular food. This is is a true destination restaurant. If you get the chance, go with the Chef's choice / tasting menu.
Met up with Mum and Dad Ascot week, top notch Rebellion, lovely clean Loo’s and nice clean Pub. Top notch service, good food with prices to match. You get what you pay for in these types of Pubs.

I really enjoyed my long overdue visit to The Crown 👑. Lovely venue with high quality cooking and very friendly and efficient service 😊. My pick of the dishes I had was the Salcombe crab 🦀. Best crab dish I have had. Just as good as I remember, will look forward to coming back 🙂. Keep up the good work 👍 👏.

Fantastic meal and service from Dominic and team. Warm and friendly welcome, food was excellent with delicious seasonal ingredients and a wonderful combination of flavours. We always love the food at The Beehive, and Dominic new venture does not disappoint, a wonderful treat last night, keep up the good work.
First and last visit before, sadly, the Crown closes down and the team/family move on to bigger and possibly better things.
Wherever they end up their food will be worth bing down, and the exceptional service will round out many wonderful meals
