Reviews of Oh My Cod

We used oh my cod for a private function taking place on a Friday night in littlewick green and we needed 63 fish and chips ready for 9.30. Not only was this achieved, but every portion arrived hot and crispy. The meals, which were medium cod and chips were enjoyed by all of us and there was a discount. Oh my Cod is fantastic. Staff are lovely. Whenever I enter the shop I am kindly greeted by Musa, his smile always reassures you that your food is in good hands. Ellie is just fantastic at her job and always puts 100% into everything! Es is lovely and always welcomes you. Now onto the food. It is all fried fresh. This keeps your mind at ease that no food is wasted and you always get the highest of quality. There is nothing worse than a soggy cod! You get the opposite of that here. Warm, Crunchy and DELICIOUS golden batter. Nowhere does better than OMC. The sausages are just delicious. Always cooked to perfection. It gets very busy on Fridays and for good reason. It is the best place around. Be sure to visit!

My company has an office in Maidenhead, I was looking for a walkable location for lunch. It was on National Fish and Chips day (June 2), and was happy to find this little spot, Oh My Cod, nearby. I ordered the small, and it was still a huge portion; a full fried filet of cod, and a very large portion of chips. Everything was delicious – I needed some salt, but that could be just me. Also got their steak pie, which was small and delicious. Their meats are listed as Halal. Including my can of coke, it cost only £14. They were getting phone in orders non-stop while I was there. Seems to be family owned, and the people that work there are extremely friendly. There were locals in there that they knew by name. There are no tables, so take-away only. I'll be going back whenever I'm in the Maidenhead offices.

Great fish & chips, we order from here regularly. Yes there is a bit of a wait but at least you know everything is freshly cooked to order - the reason I haven't put 5 stars is I don't understand why you can't pay by card, especially as prices increase and easily spend over £40 for a family order. It's 2023 get a card machine :-)

I have eaten fish and chips for a long time now, but have never felt the need to write a review about any fish and chip shops....... Until now. I have just finished THE BEST fish & chip super EVER, from Oh my Cod. THE best battered cod AND the best chips I've ever had from any shop. Next level for sure. Thanks for a delicious dinner guys. I've just moved on from Maidenhead after 4 years so I feel compelled to let the people know that this is THE Fish and Chips place in Maidenhead. I fancy myself a bit of a Fish and Chips connoisseur, trying as many restaraunts nationwide as I can, when I can. I have to say the style of F&C they do at Oh My Cod, both the Cod and the chips, are 10/10 in both taste and appearance. The chips are golden, flavoursome, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - perfect. The cod is a great size every time, golden battered and crispy. You'll have to wait as they cook it fresh but it's worth the wait for that very reason, the quality is the same high standard week in, week out. All the staff are absolutely lovely, personable and friendly, making popping in a nice experience for anyone. I miss this place already and hope to go back in the future!
