Beautiful pub. Delicious food with great service. Very pretty garden with lovely views. Dod friendly. True hidden gem. We’ll be back.
Beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere.accepts dogs and lovely views from garden seating
Just a perfect place for Sunday lunch - beautiful views, outstanding food and lovely owners. Make sure you book.
Nice pub, with some nice views over the Chilterns. Went for lunch had the duck liver parfait, on a Wednesday and there was another 15 to 20 people in there, speaks volumes having that number of people, at that time of the week. Would highly recommend
Had the most delicious lunch today, everything fresh! We were welcomed and made to feel very special. Thank you so much! We will be back very soon :-) ps. Beetroot & whipped feta is the best!!
A wonderful find. The food was delicious. We were only there for a light lunch after a morning's walk, but temptation got the better of us. Imam Bayaldi (baked stuffed aubergine) followed by chocolate marquise. It would be just mean to remove a star for their one faux pas: earl grey tea presented as an attractive glass cup of boiled water with a separate teabag (the Earl would shudder). Everywhere looks better on a beautiful sunny day, but sitting in the beer garden looking across in the direction of Stonor with red kites circling around was really delightful.
5 Horseshoes. Five stars!
Excently kept local beer and divine food.
For thirty five years I visited very regularly and it was my lifeline from a very busy career in Windsor.
I felt slight trepidation visiting after a 17 year absence but I need not have worried. The extraordinary view, sophisticated cooking and wonderful service more than lived up to many very happy memories, and in fact, the food was even better than before. Perfectly cooked hake, mouthwatering roast beetroot and goats cheese starter and the best chips ever!
Highly recommended.
Car park opposite gate to the 5 horseshoes with great beer and views across the fields, gardens with tables to sit and enjoy fantastic menu.
Small, cozy & isolated pub, with amazing views over the Chilterns from the beer garden. I can't comment on the food as this was our "sundowner" for a cold drink at the end of a long walk. Friendly bar staff and well organised, with a laid back feel.
Five stars for five horseshoes!
Fantastic Sunday roast. Beef perfectly cooked. Very welcoming staff and great view
