A fantastic restaurant which caters for people with all dietary requirements and one which is so warm and welcoming. It truly is like coming home where you can relax and get wonderfully delicious food. I love that the specials are varied and rotate on a regular basis so you can get a taste of what real Italian food is all about. I can't recommend the staff and food enough ♡
Restaurant is our favourite, the new cafe in market buildings is just as good. I dont drink coffee myself, but my wife says its better than the coffee at costa. If you try the cafe, just remember it is an Italian place. Alexadro was saying peopel asking for full english breakfast
Very nice traditional Italian restaurant with traditional decoration.
Good selection of traditional Italian dishes from starters, pasta, fish, meat and of course pizza.
Calamari and pizza were cooked nicely and very delicious although I will asked to hold off the oil on the pizza next time.
Nice selection of Italian specialty beers.
Will come again soon for more.
I went here for a Birthday meal with my friends. A big menu for both food and drinks, lots of variety and very tasty!
Me and my friends ordered starters, mains and desserts and the presentation of all was incredible and better than what you’d get at one of the larger chain restaurants! Well deserved rating, will visit again!
We have been hear a number of times, it's the only place that feels like I am in Italy eating othentic traditional food. Friendly service and large portions well worth the money. Would recommend this resturant to anyone. My father is Italian and he is so fussy but could not get enough of the food and always talks about it.
Great meal. Really enjoyed the desserts! Pistachio profiteroles were delicious. I think service could be a little quicker but staff were friendly, helpful and inviting.
Fantastic Italian restaurant! Authentic food in a relaxed environment. I would say this is one of the best restaurants in Maidstone. So nice to dine in an independent family run restaurant. Great range of starters, mains and desserts. The rustic presentation is nothing amazing but the authentic flavours more than compensate for this. I was also impressed by the drinks menu. Service was friendly, fast and attentive.
I visited this restaurant yesterday with my friend and LOVED the food. If you want AUTHENTIC Italian this is the place. The Seabass fish was so tasty and the ESPRESSO OMG I had two. I have to be in the mood for coffee and got put off from Espresso 15 years ago when I had the most bitter version. This without sugar tasted like cream. But it was just coffee. I am going to go back to this restaurant just for the coffee. The restaurant had such a family feel to it. Allesandro the owner spends quality time with his customers and makes you feel like you are the only customer and the waiting staff kept checking on us not just once but many times and the vibe just made me feel like I was in Italy. If you are in Maidstone visit it and if you are visiting Maidstone don't go anywhere else for lunch or dinner just there. The price is not bad either actually very affordable.

What a great personality! The lady that runs front desk at this authentic family run restaurant is the essence of excellent service. Warm, chatty, acute and professional.
What about Versuvius itself? The restaurant is large, plenty of seating for large groups. The theme is undeniably Italian from the decor to the music.
The menu is expansive offering a recognisable comforting range of popular Italian dishes. All foods were prepared fresh; the bread had bounce too.
Quality wasn’t fine dining, more rustic, but still full of Mediterranean zing. An excellent evening, thanks for parting aperitif.
Took my partner for a meal for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. The staff are always friendly and smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The food is to die for. There is a lovely atmosphere and certainly will return again.
Really nice place. Food was nice, cocktails fabulous and they helped us celebrate my friends birthday...no matter how embarrassed she was...tee hee. Thanks for a fab night!
