Had a lovely toasted sandwich and latte there today. Can't recommend the food and shop enough. Lots of gorgeous bits and pieces to choose from. New owners Claudine and Nick should be very proud of the transformation they have created in the shop. Staff are lovely and so helpful. They have certainly turned the shop around. Will be recommending to family and friends as the place to go.

Lovely coffee shop with delicious homemade sandwiches and good coffee. Also the gift shop at the front is beautiful and full of little curiosities! Definitely recommend!

Such a great gin tour at the Maidstone Distillery. Didn’t realise the history it has, and it was very interesting to learn all about this whilst enjoying the wonderful gins it produces. My friends and I loved our visit and would highly recommend.

Lovely experience here yesterday at Maidstone distillery. We did the gin making experience, nice gin and tonic on arrival with lots of local distillery history. We picked our own botanicals for making our own bottle of gin and was taken step by step through the process. Also got to try the amazing toffee liqueur. Thankyou to Aleksandra for a lovely experience, very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this experience, ideal for groups. Thanks also to Sam and Darren

Had a fantastic tour and tasting here yesterday! It was very informative and great to hear about the rich history of Maidstone Gin. All the staff were so passionate and you could tell they really love what they do. There's a great little shop area too where we purchased some of the delicious George Bishop Gin and some of the beautiful glasses. Definitely planning to go back for the cocktail making class!

Absolutely wonderful afternoon on our guided gin making experience. From the very start, we were warmly welcomed with a large glass of delicious G&T and shown to our table before being taken to the distillery’s experience room. Each couple had their own mini copper stills where, over the course of two hours, we learned to design and create our very own 70cl bottle of spirit to take home. We felt like we were in Willy Wonka’s factory. We loved it. Great staff, great service, great value, great experience. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The host presented a brilliant history of Gin from Maidstone and structured the tour which included some superb drinks!! My favourite by far is the George :-) it was good to create our own drink, one in which we will have for a special occasion. Thank you!

Although we have lived in Maidstone for over 5 years now, it took us a trip to the Bluewater Mall - “Produced in Kent” store to find out there is a Gin Distillery in Maidstone. The moment we found out, we booked a tour. We had a great experience. Amanda and Naomi talked us through the history of Gin Distillation in Maidstone and the history of the Maidstone Market Building where the Distillery is currently located. We also tasted two Gins distilled in-house. The George Bishop Gin is pretty good. We enjoyed the tour of the site as well where the distillation process was explained to us. For such a small team of 8, it sure takes a lot to produce such good quality products. We were told Darren and Sam, the founders, are extremely passionate about the Distillery. And it was extremely evident based on what we saw. We are so glad we have such a great Distillery literally 10 minutes walk away.

We went to the Maidstone Gin Distillery a few weekends ago for our friend's 40th. I personally have mainly been on beer and whisky tours, so it was great to hear the history of gin and Maidstone (another part of Kent to where we are all from). We had two ladies who looked after us for the session. I can't remember the first ladies name but she was very helpful but Naomi did the 2nd part of our tour. Due to it only being our group for this tour, we got a private session, which was great and unexpected. This was a really nice addition to our friend's day of entertainment, as we got to spend quality time all together, as well as the chance to try a new gin (which is never a bad thing). I really enjoyed this tour as it felt personal and fun, which isn't always the casen so I highly reccommend it. You also get to have a few tasters and a big glass of gin with your tour, which is pretty sweet too 😊

A fabulous time had by all at the Maidstone Distillery for a tutored tasting as a team-building session for our business. This is a fantastic family business, with a great ethos and lovely products. Sam, our host, was friendly and knowledgeable and we were very grateful they were able to accommodate virtual attendance for our team members unable to attend in person. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to others. Thanks from everyone at Sharrock Insurance.

We had Gin on arrival so off to a good start! Our experience included an overview of the distillery followed by making our own Gin. Really enjoyable experience and looking forward to trying our own gin. Optional nibbles and more drinks afterwards as well as a shop for more gin or gin accessories. Well worth booking a visit.
