I thought surf and turf was a big lump of steak? Battered fish served with chips, peas, grilled tomato and mushrooms. How wrong I was; introducing Embankment Bar & Restaurant. A food sensation on a big barge in central Maidstone.
When you arrive take a look at the surf and turf options immediately.
Good food, live music and nice staff, and I enjoyed the novelty of being on a boat! It was completely empty other than my group though, they need more customers!!
Superb setting for a great evening. Delicious food, steaks cooked perfectly for everyone and very well presented. The cocktails are a must! Friendly and efficient staff giving excellent service. Highly recommended. We'll certainly be going again soon.

Such a great atmosphere when walking into the restaurant, lovely outside seating area to watch the boats drive by. Listening to the reggae singer was also lovely.

Went here for my 27th birthday it wasn't busy but that isn't a problem and we were served by the loveliest lady who was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. Would come here again. Thank you!
Well what can I say apart from Amazing. The customer service was great & very attentive & nothing is too much trouble . food was delicious & steak was to die for & highly recommend going for the sauce that goes with it I had the peppercorn & brandy. can't wait for our next meal there.

Music was lively with a live singer later in the evening. I would imagine it would be a really nice setting on a summer's evening.
Decor was ok (could maybe do with a little bit of maintenance if I was being harsh) and the toilet was a bit small b
Best food it town great atmosphere treated me,wife and friends with total respect couldn't ask for anything more staff was fantastic looked after my needs as it was my wife's birthday, wife said it was the best birthday she's ever had going back very soon. Keep up the good work guys I'm thinking of
Lovely place for dinner. Food was good and service very friendly.
We had a reservation for 18.30 and it was empty, so we literally had the boat for ourselves.
People usually arrive after 8pm.

We had my Grandsons Birthday Meal here last night. Me & Hubs had the Seabass it was so Scrummy, Daughter had Lamb 👍Boyfriend had Chicken 👍Grandson had Ribs👍Food was Spot on Staff where Great really friendly & Fab Service. And the Entertainment was Wicked all of us Thorough
Great FUN!!! Has a certain something that reminds me of Malaga on outside deck. Food is quite good, restaurant just needs a little something extra to make it truly classy. Good for cocktails with friends.
We like th e food here and th e people are very friendly. Sometimes it's quiet and others it's very busy so the atmosphere and the service varies, but food quality is always good.
Great atmosphere. Menu has been reduced. Best waitress hasn't been there for the past 2 visits.
My wife and I first visit to this restaurant and it was utterly superb, sublime food, friendly staff, fabulous cuisine and cocktails
Lovely place to enjoy a cold beer and watch the world go by. The food here is excellent as is the friendly welcome from the staff. Best place in in Maidstone.
