I haven't eaten here but a great place to pop in for a pint or whatever tickles your fancy. A lot of punters enjoy sitting outside people watching. I thought £4 for a pint was very reasonable. A nice change from the obvious chain pubs. Has been recently spruced up with a lick of paint on the front and back.

Amazing night, we scoffed down 3 courses each, the menu was great for both of us (one meat eater one vegan) excellent variety for both of us and the atmosphere was great! Now on first name terms with the staff... Tyler made us feel at right at home and we had such a laugh chatting with him throughout the night and the chef Nick came over to make sure our meals were perfect... Brilliant food! We will be back next week!

Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Good selection of meals for meat eaters and vegans alike. I'll definitely be eating there again. On a side note: The Stag was recently taken over by new management and have a new head chef, and I can say the quality all round has improved drastically. If you've been here in the past and have been disappointed, definitely give it another try.

A lovely place to eat or chill out with a drink by the fire. The staff are all lovely and have time to talk to you if you want to. The menu has a nice mix. It's also nice to see a choice of vegetarian dishes.
