5 stars for a burger joint!? What do I expect from a burger restaurant? An American style dining experience and a large, exciting, quality burger. Gourmet Burger Ticks all these boxes; in addition they offer a quality service and exciting complementary dishes. Unexpectedly, of all the dishes it was the falafel bites that blew my taste buds away. Finely ground beans, deep fried never tasted so good. I love the cool mix of ceramic and dark metal of the interior.
Popped in with my daughters after some ten pin bowling.
The burger was excellent as were the chunky chips. The strawberry milk shake was pricey (£4.50) but it was very thick and yummy.
I wouldn’t say it was cheap but definitely good quality food, pleasant staff, nice decor and (apparently) nice toilets too.
Good service! 4.5 stars, really! The staff seem genuinely committed to offering good customer experience. Waiting staff were quick, helpful and clean. They work well as a team together to ensure we had a good time. The burger was impeccable. It’s nice to watch the chefs at work. Nice place to enjoy a good meal and good company!
Could be better: The cashier who served us seemed a little less ‘enthusiastic’ / personable. He just seemed to be going through the motions. He came across a little grumpy.
The food is very nice although I must say that the prices are somewhat expensive, which is why I’ve had to give it 4* rather than 5*.
This place was amazing loved the food friendly staff and I loved the atmosphere
Easy to order via the app and the usual reliable menu options. The milkshakes are amazing. However have felt like the quality has decreased over the past couple of years across the chain. Always a good dinner out with friends though.
Food was very nice. Burgers were cooked nicely, fries were hot and crisp, onion rings were crispy and tasty. Had a milkshake which was very nice although for the price you think they could at least fill the cup. Service was adequate, a little slow and nonchalant but sufficiently attentive. Would visit again as left feeling full and satiated.
Burgers are great. It's not table service so I cannot comment on that. Food came out fast, hot and very tasty. Everyone was polite.
It's a bit expensive though. £40 odd for two meals and two drinks...
But that didn't affect the experience. Just thought I would mention it.
Good burger, and fries, had an issue with two £6 bottles of lager which had come straight from a store room and not the fridge. Snotty waiter tried to say that as we had sipped them and 2cm had been drunk he couldn't take it back...Whaaaaaat? Held them out to him so long he had to eventually take them, tried to tell us they were how they always served them. Manager came over and told us they were cold as they always served them! They had no more cold ones so we asked for 2 smaller ones of the same brand, which came beautifully chilled, when the bill came THEY tried to charge the extra £1.20 for 4 bottles rather than 2! Our original bottles went behind a counter by the till and 10 minutes later 2 (non cold) bottles went to other diners...
The burgers here were amazingly presented and tasted amazing, however service took a while and was bordering on stupid. They had only opened recently when I went so the original crowd coming to check it out is probably the reason behind the service time. Overall, a nice place to go for amazing burgers but not for those who are in a rush (especially to get to the cinema above).
