An very enjoyable experience, an excellent range of well prepared and presented coffees. The lunchtime menu is varied and very good value considering the high quality of the offerings which cater for all tastes. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner and staff. Certainly worth making a visit to Maldon to enjoy this small but very pleasant cafe/delicatessen.

Found this gem of a place yesterday by chance and have to say the coffee is fantastic and the cakes amazing. I had the chocolate chip and banana loaf and it was very, very nice. We will be visiting again. I think someone else said about it being one of the best places to get a really good cup of coffee.

The Black Cat is great coffee shop. The owner is always passionate and happy to talk about coffee to those who are into that. They have all sorts of drinks, baguettes, sandwiches and the like. The are a number of handmade jams as well as manual coffee makers for sale.

Had not been here before but dropped in for coffee. Very warm and cosy place on a grey winters day. Friendly greeting and good coffee. Although we are not local would certainly go again.

Friendly staff and some great food, no waiting about here, it's all freshly served and normally very quickly. Great place to wander with the dog if you've managed the prom!
