Lovely little cafe right by the carpark and a perfect place to end a beautiful walk around Heybridge basin. They serve a variety of hot food ( I had a sausage and egg bap) and drinks and reasonably priced with a friendly service. Would recommend for a quick breakfast bap

Lovely little place in a lovely location. Does sandwiches, rolls and ice creams. Food is very good and very reasonable.

Such a pleasant outing... With free and convenient parking, you can purchase refreshments and ice creams just before you hop on. The staff were so kind and friendly. The cruise lasted about an hour. Nothing fancy but that itself is what was most lovely about it.

We chartered the Blackwater Dawn for a 4 hour cruise along the Chelmer. The crew of two were fantastic and we had a fantastic, relaxing trip along the river. I would highly recommend the trip, which is good value and provides a view of the river you can't really get from the towpath. We helped out at the lock and the kids really enjoyed the experience.
