Maldon Spice

Have been a couple of times before and had very nice food and service in the past , went again 25/8/23 and was blown away more than usual , boss man was entertaining and very pleasant guy , food was wow , Lamb really did melt in my mouth , I cannot rate this place high enough , even my other half's words were "that is the best curry iv had" and we do eat a few 😊make sure you visit this place and keep lovely restaurants like this alive.

We turned up, the previous place we booked were full and overbooked and didn't take us so we ended up last minute at Maldon Spice to our suprise! Party of 3 They had 2 tables left, asked if we booked, we said we hadn't, our fault, but still found the availability and space to sit us down and serve us, took our drink orders which came out immediately, ordered food came out within the space of 5-10 minuites, was attentive throughout the whole meal but not over bearing, best Indian food I've ever had, had the Tikka Mousala and the spice was just right, nice and creamy, I ate until I was full and still had a little bit of rice and Naan left on the plate, haven't been as fed well by a restaurant in ages, quality value and quality cooking I would give them 10 stars if I could, props to all the staff!

Honestly can not rate this place high enough, a warm friendly greeting and were made to feel really special. We had our teenage son with us who is an extremely fussy eater, we ordered him nuggets and chips, he (the owner?) said- I have something for you to try. He appeared later with a piece of marinated chicken on a small plate and gave it to our son. I was convinced he wouldn't try it or, if he did, wouldn't like it. He ate it all and liked it, it was chicken tikka honey. Top class service, caring, personable and had a really great sense of humour. Our table of five had a fantastic evening. I've never experienced such above and beyond service in a restaurant, ever. Thank you.

Best Indian in Maldon by far can’t believe it’s taken us so long to try this place” the food is perfect and the staff are so friendly and great with kids the manager is a very nice man made our family feel very welcome and the bar man was such a lovely young man would highly recommend this Indian. We will definitely be back

Thought we would give Maldon Spice a try as it has been revamped. The usual suspects were on the menu plus some chefs specials which we tried. The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated and the table tastefully set. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food was nicely cooked and presented well, the meat in the dishes were of good quality and all the portions of a good size. We had a very enjoyable meal. The only criticism l have is the prices, for local Indian it is rather top heavy and I have paid less for the same quality hence giving four stars.
