Just finished weekend lunch menu( different menu during the week) at Platzki with my husband and we both loved it. Although I think we both need a nap after such enormous portions. So many flavours it was a delight. We had beetroot soup and black pudding for starters, both spot on followed by the duck and steak for mains, once again spot on. The service from(I think) Ewalina? Was great, making sure you’re well looked after without breathing behind your shoulders. Everything neat and tidy, best of all? No slate or wooden board!!! Would definitely recommend and we will be back, looking forward to our trip to Kracow ! Thank you

Visited after reading the reviews and so glad that we did. Excellent food and you can watch the guys prepare your food in the open plan kitchen. I had a herring dish to start my wife had black pudding. This was followed by a filet steak and duck legs. Superb cooking and service. Keep up the good work - well worth a visit 10 out of 10 from me

It is a genuinely nice little restaurant, I liked the atmosphere and most of all the food. Such a nice addition to all the 50000 of your usual British Italian restaurants you can find in Manchester. The menu is quite limited but they change it often so it is the kind of place that I will go back to . It is quite pricy but worth the money in my opinion . Well deserved high rating

Visited for christmas dinner with work colleagues. We had the whole of the restaurant for our meal which made it feel very bespoke for us. The service was good and the ambience was lovely. The food was a little mixed. The desserts weren’t very good, but the main meals were lovely. Definitely worth a try.

Cute little restaurant located at the side of the Great Northern Warehouse. Never had Polish food before and I must say it was excellent. Waitress was also very attentive and friendly. The duck leg was particularly good

We went last night. I’m from a Polish family so really wanted to try it and I was blown away. The food was sublime and didn’t disappoint. I desperately wanted cheese Pierogi not what was on the menu (because they reminded me of my mum) and the Chef made them for me. I can’t thank him enough, even though I had them with sugar (so sorry!). The cabbage soup was a stunner, as were the herrings and the beetroot side, well, yet more memories. The atmosphere was relaxed and understated and our waitress was super efficient, friendly and attentive, in just the right amounts. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED it and will definitely be going back again. Thank you everyone. Wesolych Swiat xxx

Looking for somewhere authentic in the middle of Manchester on a Saturday night, and not a boring chain or generic Italian, we found this highly rated spot on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. It took a bit of finding in it's quiet "round the back" location but the food was excellent, prepared in the kitchen that forms one side of the dining space. Staff were friendly and helpful with gluten free information for my friend. The bottle of Malbec was so-so but otherwise a first rate meal.

My Polish friend took me to this restaurant! I didn’t know I was in for a treat! This is definitely a hidden gem! Such cosy atmosphere and amazing food! The dining experience almost felt like a Michelin star restaurant experience! The food menu changes every 2 weeks so you are always in for a surprise! Definitely try out different flavoured vodka they have! And of course the desserts! The best cheese cake I have ever had!

The food was seriously good. The polish potato and sausage soup, the minted, slow cooked lamb shank and the polish cheese cake were all superb. The price is really reasonable for the quality of the food you're getting. The menu changes very regularly and I will definitely be going again.

Wonderful little restaurant tucked away off Deansgate. Great ambiance created in a small room with cosy wooden furniture. Staff were so, so friendly and the service was excellent. Food was way above my expectations. Starters of polish sausage or herring were both beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. For mains we had the ox cheeks, the lamb shank, the dumplings. Everything was perfect. Really worthy of note. The desserts on the table at the side of the room all looked impressive. We had a strawberry crumble to share and this was one of the best desserts I have ever had. All this was washed down with a lovely Sauvignon Blanc from Bulgaria (I think). This really is the best Polish food in town and of you don’t think you like Polish food then get yourself down to Platzki and find out you do!

My fiancee and I decided to give this place a go yesterday and we weren't disappointed! The service was friendly, we liked the ambience and the food was of really good quality. I asked the chef if they could add an extra 'ingredient' to one of their dishes and that wasn't a problem so I was happy to hear that. We will definitely return and bring our friends too!

Very cute intimate atmosphere but very expensive, even by London standards where I live! There was only one vegan/vegetarian option which was (sweet?) potato dumplings decorated with seeds and micro leaves for £16. It tasted good but frankly it’s equivalent to eating a large plate of very nice chips. Extremely overpriced and definitely not nutritious.

After hearing and reading so many positive reviews we have decided to give this place a go. And I hate to say that but I had probably higher expectations that the place could deliver. Please don’t get me wrong as there is a lot of positives such as tasty and well presented food and generous portions. The staff were nice. It was good to see a team work and the place being busy and people genuinely enjoying their time. Unfortunately, a bit disappointing for both of us. We had a reservation, arrived on time. When announced that we reserved the table we’ve not only not been asked for the booking name but we’ve been sat on a table that’s not been relayed after previous guests. There was a table in the opposite corner of the restaurant that was relayed and reserved, and remained empty all night. Food wise I was looking for something more traditional and I was saddened when I couldn’t find any flagship dishes such as Polish pierogi. Also the starter - Karkówka was rather Italian antipasti style and didn’t have anything Polish in it really. It was tasty tough. The menu is quite limited itself. Also, there’s no toilet on site. If you need to go you will either need to use the toilet in the next door obscure pub or will have to go outside, around the building. Come one guys - it’s XXI century. As said before the food is nice but also on a pricey side for what it’s served and for overall experience. £84 for 2 people. And it’s not that I want to complain but for this amount of money I’ve had better meals out. I know there is plenty of great reviews out there and people enjoy the food and service at Platzki, however it just didn’t wowed me. But maybe I’m just a fussy eater...

We went on a Thursday so it was weekday menu. The blurb says "filled with Polish classics" Four main course choices, with one no longer available is not filled. We enjoyed our meal but left a little disappointed in the lack of choice. Perogi comes in one choice of filling. Having said all that what we had to eat was really nice and the service is really good. We were offered an alternative dish from the weekend menu, so they did their best to give us an alternative to the missing main course.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here and so glad we did. Right from the beginning the staff are friendly, courteous and genuinely lovely. As an LGBTQ+ couple, we were warmly congratulated on our wedding anniversary which made us feel even more welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. Every care was taken to ensure we knew what we should order and the presentation of all courses was immaculate, with delicate aesthetic touches that tells you the chefs really put care into this dish. This becomes more clear when tucking in as each course consisted of an abundance of flavours, finely balanced to allow you to enjoy each forkful. Make sure you try at least one of the vodkas (they're mostly light and won't leave you with that acidic feeling you could get from cheap liquor - plus, of you get a fruity one, such as the cherry wiśniówka, try sipping rather than shooting). Desserts were equally lovely and the staff checked in with us periodically for conversation rather than the robotic "is everything ok?" you often get in other places. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Deservedly 5 stars. Dziękuję bardzo, guys!
