It was my first time at the bar on 33 Oldham Street, I was there to see some friend's band VIVA MORRISSEY and I wasn't disappointed, awesome night, great atmosphere. The bar is downstairs is quite intimate it's small but well stocked, serving craft beers and cocktails and there's bench seating as soon as you enter the premises. It's on 3 floors and on the first floor were the band played, the capacity is around 120 but ideal for parties and social events. On the second floor there was a pool room and toilets, and on the ground floor there's a disabled toilet.
Went here on Saturday night, 27 of us enjoyed bottomless brunch for my husband's 40th. Donna was really helpful in pre-planning the event with me. Her staff worked tirelessly bringing us cocktails, beers and mimosas up and down those stairs. Nothing was too much for them, service was friendly and polite. The food was fab, and so well priced! Definitely recommend!
Good beer…. Great happy hour cocktails… and a brilliant venue to see up and coming bands live
A little bit of boogie and a little bit of brunch, 33 Oldham St caters for you
You may be wondering what is the location of this place, and to that we answer ‘33 Oldham St’ :D With exposed brickwork, and 3 floors of different vibes, 33 provides a wide variety of menu options in the centre of Manchester. Due to their setup, they have lots of events from music evenings to board games night catering for a variety of tastes in events and food. Keep an eye on their social media for updates
Our menu options were off the brunch menu, and we had;
Avocado Sourdough (v) [£9] - Loved the sourdough as it was nice and soft, meaning that it didn’t scratch the inside of your mouth. The mushy avocado with hints of chilli was smooth going down and with perfectly poached eggs, you’re onto a winner
Eggs Florentine (v) [£7.50] - This was a classic done really good with the perfect thickness of hollandaise sauce on top of (once again) perfectly runny poached eggs. The quality was definitely apparent in this with a really flavoursome smoked salmon
For drinks, we were provided with;
Sgt Peppers Lemonade, without alcohol [£9] - Lemonade with a tangy hit, most likely due to the peppercorn
Homeless Hugo, without alcohol [£8] - Pure fresh, making you feel refreshed after even a few sips
Their events are very intriguing that this alone would pull us back, and with the good food there’s a greater pull.
Highly recommend a visit for brunch. I had the hot salmon and cream cheese bagel - so good! My friend had the full veggie breakfast which looked equally amazing, very generous portions. Love the musical influence, relaxed decor and great playlist! Need to go back in the evening for drinks.
Such a lovely spot for brunch on a Sunday. Staff were super efficient and friendly.
Veggie breakfast was on point and the bread was sooooo good. Makes a change from the artisinal sourdough flogged everywhere these days.
10/10
