Great
Love it, I've been coming here for lunch on Fridays for years and the Friday only biryani is fantastic. Always a queue out the door at lunchtimes tells you everything you need to know. Don’t be put off by the queues or the greasy spoon decor, the food is really really great.
Searching for a good Food with species and aroma . Finally we got a restaurant in the Central Manchester. Biriyani flavoured authentic aroma and medium spicy.
True foods always be mouth watering and yummy. Must visit place.
Kabana is a gem in the middle of a restaurant populated town. The key characteristic that appealed to me was its quiet and simplistic interior and down-to-earth staff. The moment you walk in, you feel as if one has time travelled to an easier time in life.
We went there on a Sunday (which is key to the item we ordered) and ordered two curries: the chicken masala and the lamb Nihari along with a cheese naan, a keema and cheese naan, and two pieces of lamb seekh kebab. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Nihari. It felt as if I was back in India.
When our final bill came, we were shocked to see how economical the joint is. All the above and a roti cost us only £19!
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone for an authentic taste of Indian food.
Absolutely amazing Indian food. The place is no-frills Indian food in the heart of Northern Quarter. It is a located on a relative quiet turner street close to a number of famous eateries. Come around lunch time and you will find the place packed with lunch goers looking for a quick curry fix. Although they have a number of local varieties of dishes, the lamb curry is authentic and very rich in taste. The food is all cooked right in front of you and is usually hot off the stove. The restaurant is self served, so you just stand in line and pretty much ask for the food that you wish to have. In addition, the prices are very very genuine and you will leave stuffed after finishing off a generous portion of your favorite curry or biryani.
Authentic, filling and inexpensive. This is the place to go if you want a great no frills meal for a very low cost.
I’ll be coming back here whenever I’m back in Manchester.
Perfect lunch, our dog comes with us - he loves it too ☺️ Food is brilliant, staff are lovely, really recommend a visit ❤️
Best curry spot in Manchester. Best rice and three (I’ve eaten at em all, trust me, I know). Friendly staff and great environment.
the moment i walked into the store i was greeted in a very friendly manner, all types of curry were shown and explained to me and it tasted incredibly good. The price is just great and there is table water for free. Really an absolute recommendation in a great nightlife area.
Great little spot. Definitely nothing fancy but food was plentyfull, staff were pleasant and friendly.
Not far from city centre and easy to find using Google maps.
Got 2 big chapatis, and 2 curries (Chicken Masala & Keema) on rice. Also got a meat samosa.
Very tasty and filling with no complaints. All good, well done lads..
This is a local eatery so don't be expecting restaurant type setting.
What a little gem! Just a friendly little curry house with lovely staff, fast service, reasonable prices and delicious dishes. I had the succulent lamb karahi with one naan and that was filling enough for the day. It came in minutes and was so fresh and delicious. I was waiting to check in to my hotel and they helped me bring my bags in and out too. Big steins of water a nice detail. Will return when I'm back in Manchester without a doubt!
Authentic, no frills curries, kebabs, naans and grills. Very Reasonable prices even with current trend of price increases. Friendly staff. Can be a bit tricky to find if out of town, but do what I did, stick the address in Google maps. In the pic I have moved the salad to show the generous kebabs serving
The epitome of 'Don't judge a book by its cover' as this place is all about the food!
Been going here ever since I was a teenager, with nothing but good things to say: friendly staff, authentic food, and a good atmosphere. Can pop in for a quick bite, samosas to go, or dine in for a little bit. Whatever floats your boat.
Now, living in London, I make it a priority to come here whenever I'm back in town with my partner, and the cheese naan is *always* on the order.
Great place to stay if you need a spacious apartment and want to be close to the atmosphere of the northern Quarter.
I had their lamb biryani and it was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have ever had. And very reasonable prices . If you’re missing Indian food this one’s for the soul .❤️
