We came here for my husband’s birthday. The atmosphere and ambience is bright and vibrant with good music, loud enough to have a conversation. We had the sunday roast vegetarian menu and it was tasty with good portion size. The cocktails are nice too. Definitely recommend to visit this restaurant for a special occasion

I took my partner here for a late valentine’s meal and it was absolutely incredible. The setting is amazing, the music is great, the whole place has a great vibe.
Our waitress Iryna was incredibly attentive, our drinks were never empty, her recommendations were fantastic, and she always had a smile on her face. Shes a credit to the establishment.
The food was superb and honestly the tasting menu is superb its great value for money, the selection of red wines is also very good.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and the atmosphere and ambience was vibrant. Music was good and loud enough for conversations. Edwin was amazing as he talked us through the menu. Food was tasty and drinks good as well. We had the imperial sunday roast. Presentation was good as well. Definitely recommend.

I frequent Tattu Manchester but today was different. I finished my lovely meal and paid. I went downstairs to go into my Uber and I hear someone screaming “miss miss” I look back and it was the lovely waitress Georgia ( I remember from my receipt). I had over paid and she ran downstairs to give me the money. She could have easily kept it for herself , but she chose the right thing. Kudos to Georgia ❤️🫶🏽

Wow when I say I was so happy to have had such a wonderful experience dinning at Tattu Manchester , we were seated upstairs where we were served by a wonderful lady called Giulia who sat us at table 30, we ordered the set course menu for £89 and all I can express is how beautifully presented and cooked everything was, definitely will be going back and trying everything else. The raw tuna was exquisite and the beef fillet with the caramel soy dip was divine. I would most definitely be recommending Tattu to friends and family! Especially as Giulia made our evening out a time to remember.

After making a reservation, the restaurant keeps in touch via email asking if anyone has any food intolerances and any other requirements. I asked to be seated upstairs near to the tree because it was a special treat for a good friends birthday. When we arrived I left my jacket at reception and we were shown to our table very close to the tree which was a superb spot. Our table was beautifully laid out, and our waiter was very helpful and happy to guide us through the menu, making sure that we would have a lovely dining experience. When the food arrived, we were not disappointed it was absolutely delicious, and we both tried using chopsticks with some degree of success.
This is a wonderful place to take the special person you care about for a truly lovely experience.

It was a 10/10! Service was amazing, just walking in to the restaurant was an experience in itself! And most importantly, the food was delicious.
Rachel
Amazing restaurant, great vibe and fantastic food. We had the set menu and plenty of cocktails. Pricey, but well worth it!

Had a lovely anniversary dinner at Tattu Manchester. We were served by the lovely Devon. She helped us with the menu taking into account our dietary requirements. All food items were excellent and so was the ambience. We'd definitely go again.

A little delay getting settled with a toddler chair, but it’s okay. The waiter was kind and detailed. The host that checked our reservation downstairs was extremely pleasant.

Amazing atmosphere and great service during my solo dinner last night. I was impressed by the aesthetics of this restaurant. It felt young, sexy and elegant. I was very well taken care of. Philipp was the absolute best and did great in recommending dishes and drinks. He made me feel very welcome and he even recommended an amazing bar to go to after my dinner. The food was nice. Dim sum were great! My main course (fish tom yum) was ok. Overall, I had a great time and I would definitely go there again as well for date night. Recommend!

Very polite and friendly staff, great food, great drinks, great ambience, right music volume.
It takes alot for me to give 5 stars these days, as alot of Manchester restaurants are just all about the show, Instagramable decor but not quality food, and overly loud music (I.e, 20 Stories & Menagerie..) whom should take notes..
Tattu were patient in waiting for a guest to turn up, seated us in the bar area which was pleasant and adequately lit. Assisted us with the menu, & drinks and were lenient in us staying a little longer over our time, they did not rush us.. :-) And to top it off, they had a beautiful lit up dancing Chinese dragon in celebration of Chinese New year! We all had a beautiful experience - THANK YOU TATTU!

Overall, it was a great experience. The food was great, specially Japanese Black Wagyu was exquisite. The lobster was really good and well-seasoned as well.
We ordered a variety of small plates and Dim Sum, but my favourites were 'Seven Spice Seared Tuna' and 'Wild Mushroom Spring Rolls'.
Cocktails were nice, my favourites were Zhanshi (coffee-based) and The Great Snow (Grey Goose Vodka-based).
Staff were all really nice and friendly, specially Cas.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful place! Great atmosphere. All the staff were lovely. Special mention to Tibor who was a delight to speak with. Fav dish was the bao bun. The duck egg and sausage fried rice was top tier.

We booked quite late for a 7pm dinner and had an amazing visit. We opted for the Emperor’s set menu and had the Wagu dishes substituted without fuss for our 2 non-beef eaters. Every dish was exceptional in taste, presentation and portion size. We had a few cocktails which were all very good.
Devon was our host and she was lovely, making our visit very memorable. We will be back and request Devon!

Had come here as a surprise post birthday dinner . The place was fantastic, the staff and customer service was excellent, shoutout to Andrew. He went through the menu with us told us the best things and how to order for the best experience. We had the fixed menu . The food was excellent, all the courses just better than the previous one. Our food was presented in a beautiful way and the best part was the dessert.
Will definitely come back . The food and customer service were the highlight of my day.
Thank you Tattu

We had a great experience. All staff were welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to Devon, who made some great recommendations on what food to pick as it was our first time. She struck the perfect balance of being attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back!

Edwin was fantastic, he gave brilliant service and offered fantastic recommendations. He was attentive but not in your face. Food was incredible, absolutely amazing but the music is too loud.

Visited here twice now for food and not been disappointed. Visited here last week and enjoyed some dishes from the Tattu Tasting Menu, three courses for £28. Good choice on this menu and just as good as what I enjoyed when I ate of the usual menu. Service was also attentive and great. Highly recommend the Cherry Blossom for dessert as shown on in the picture, candyfloss, chocolate and cherry, so good.

We went here Tuesday evening. A table of 7. We were seated promptly and drinks came quickly. We ordered a variety off the menu as recommended and then the taste, oh my word, the taste. Everything was literally out of this world. Fresh, hot and full of flavour. Chinese is my favourite food and this is my new number 1 place having eaten in most of the ‘best’ ones all over the UK. We have a new office in Manchester and this could quickly become a regular occurrence. Honestly, amazing!

The most perfect birthday meal. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We were served by Amir and he couldn’t have done enough for us on a busy Friday night. Will definitely be returning!

I have eaten at both Tattu's and the service and food were both top class. The friendly but professional approach is very fitting in the beautiful surroundings and the food is a very unique offering, delicious and I cant wait to sample again.

Came here with a group of friends and we all thought it was amazing! The staff are so polite and accommodating, they know everything about the menu! The cocktails are to die for, we had the Nutella espresso martini and skull candy which are both picture perfect! The venue was gorgeous and food looked beautiful and tasted even better especially the caramel beef soy dish! Will definitely be going back again!

This restaurant delivers an experience unique to anything else in the market. From the moment you walk through the door you feel somewhat transported and as a result you really end up with a dining experience that rivals all.
We sat on the first floor and the service was excellent, the food was beautifully presented and offered bold and thought out flavours. The wine list was extensive and the ambiance also perfect.

We're booking again for their private room 'The Parlour', the best of it's kind in the city.

One of the best restaurants I have dined in, the staff care so much about the customer journey and are very passionate about service. The food is a blend between east and west, delivering chinese cuisine like i have never seen before!

It’s been almost 8 years since I was last in Manchester. I used to spend a lot of time partying in this city all those years ago and so returning a little older (and perhaps a little wiser) was rather interesting. I’m not sure if I fell in love with Manchester this time around, but I’m seeing it in a different light. I’m not partying anymore or staying over at friends, but instead looking to enjoy a few cocktails, eat good food and stay in nice hotels. One place on my list was one of Manchester’s hottest hangouts, Tattu.

The place is so damn beautiful 😍. Would highly recommend if you want to click some pics. The cocktails are bland and sour. The food is not very tasty and the portion is extremely less... One starter per person. We were a group of 5 and we ordered around 20 dishes. The desserts are very gorgeous looking but tastes pathetic. Some of them are very sweet and some lack the sweetness... There is not consistency in the dishes. The restaurant is called chinese cuisine. However my friends who are Chinese didn't acknowledge it to be authentic Chinese cuisine. Hence would rate it 2.5 stars.

For starters we ordered duck pancakes. These are not the typical duck pancakes I'm used to as these were very small, with not enough hoisin sauce. The pancakes were also stuck to the plate so when you tried to remove them to eat they broke apart. Other than that, the taste was very average.
For the main course I then ordered the BBQ Chinese chicken (the dish on the right), it was quite spicy which was not specified on the menu, but luckily I don't mind that. The taste was also quite odd, not particularly enjoyable.
The staff serving us were pleasant, but not very helpful and then when getting the bill they then brought it back with multiple drink on it that was had not ordered. Very bad services.

Ambiance: 3/5
Food: 3.5/5
Value: 2/5

Last weekend, Mr O’T and I decided to fly back to our hometown of Manchester. As our trip was booked so last minute (the day before) and my parents were out of town, I decided not to go ‘home’ but instead spent the weekend exploring the latest culinary offerings the city centre has to offer. One restaurant that has been on my little black book since before Christmas is Tattu.

The minute images of the Tattu interiors started appearing on social media, I was instantly itching to check it out. A sucker for contemporary-fusion design, I had high hopes for this new addition to the Spinningfields food scene. After pushing myself at the Great Manchester Run on the Sunday and collapsing on the Spinningfield lawns looking pretty drab, it was nice to return the next day on a more glamorous note.

So I am on my travels, which brings me to Manchester over the holiday season. And in turn to A dinner at Tattu.

A big fan of Asian cuisine I was very excited to try out what has the reputation of being one of manchesters unique and most reputable asian dining experiences. But after leaving I was left a little underwhelmed.

So it's the last weekend before Christmas so as you can imagine the place is packed. My partner and i are promptly seated in the upstairs area which is stunning. The blossom tree situated In the centre of the upstairs dining area which changes colors is the main feature and is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

The hostess brought us our menus and it was then we waited 30mins for a waiter to even greet us. If I knew manchester better and knew somewhere else to go I would have normally walk out at that point. Anyway the waiter apologized for the delay and took our order.

To start with we had a selection of dim sum. Each parcel a delightful fusion of east meets west. We chose the wagu beef, seabass and foie gras. Each one delicious. Our personal favorite was the foie gras.

We then ordered from the small plates. A chicken salad and crispy chilli squid. The latter was very disappointing. I can only assume the calamari wasn't fresh but frozen. It held a lot of water so the batter could not stick, so the bowl was a separated combination of sloppy batter and calamari. There was nothing crispy about it and no flavor either. However the salad was very nice. Full of flavor and very fragrant. The combination of coriander leaves and mint were a great and flavorful base to the salad.

Now at this point I want to mention the service of the waiter. He was very knowledgable of the menu, well presented, but my issue lies with the pouring of our drinks. We ordered a nice bottle of wine (grape for my Dubai readers) and it seemed that we were in a race to finish that bottle. Now I know restaurants and bars keep your glasses topped up so you will purchase another bottle. But this was being so obviously done even my partner noticed!!!
Our glasses were being filled within and inch of the top of our glass. We were drinking white wine. So what was happening was the wine in the glass was getting warm. Any wine drinker knows with white wine especially you do not fill it above the line of the bowl of the glass. There is no need for a wine glass to ever be that full!
I enjoy my wine and when purchasing a nice bottle I don't want to feel like I have to gulp it down before it reaches room temperature. Because if this we finished our first bottle just after the dim sum.
So on the second bottle, the manic pouring continued so I tried to explain the the waiter that the wine was getting warm and not to pour so much. So he put what was now half a bottle of in a new bucket of ice ( he clearly misunderstood my point) We carried on drinking the wine in our glass, which of course took some time due to the fact it Was so full. When our glasses were low went for a top of the wine. But then our waited told us it was finished. My partner literally laughed in his face. This was a deal breaker for us. We weren't drunk. We were enjoying a nice meal together and there was two of us so it was highly noticeable that the wine had disappeared. Of course the waiter asked us if we wished to open a 3rd. But we had finished at this point.

Anyway back to the food. For our mains we opted for the wagu beef and a Chilean seabass along with a serving of the green beans.
Both were delightful the wagu beef was cooked to perfection fantastic flavor, and Chilean seabass was tasty and cooked beautifully. The seabass had divine broth that truly complimented the fish.

So to evaluated my tattu dining experience. The venue is beautiful, a youthful energetic vibe, great music and beautiful decor.

The food is very nice. Apart from the chilli squid the food really is outstanding. Presentation is good. The portion sizes are great. The food is very enjoyable.

Service...well we got off to a rocky start but the waiter made up for it. Apart of course from the "wine bullying".

I would most definitely return. The food and decor are the two things that will be bring me back.

I feel sad that I don't live inside of Tattu, as let's face it...it's wicked. The atmosphere is cool, the decor is outstanding, and the food just makes it that extra bit special. Opted for the dim sum lunch menu, each dish as delicious as the next. Stand out dishes were the venison won tons and the squid. We're back in January...and already counting down the days!

Loved the ambience and feel of Tattu, friendly service, staff knew the menu and advised me on what to eat, overall a very enjoyable experience

I’d chosen ‘Red Pepper Lamb Chops’ for my main course, which was excellent. The lamb was chops were just about medium rare, verging on medium. I would’ve preferred them slightly less cooked but they were still wonderfully juicy inside with intense flavour from the deep char marks on the outside and a spicy marinade.
I loved the ‘Hot & Sour Pumpkin’ on the side too. Shredded pumpkin and red pepper with a real kick and toasted pumpkin seeds for texture.
My only complaint was the size of the dish; it felt a bit small for a main course.

I recently had a birthday and my lovely mother treated me to dinner at Tattu. It was the perfect choice for me; Asian food, body art theme, beautiful cocktails. I knew we wouldn’t be disappointed I just didn’t expect to be quite so impressed. Tattu, Spinningfields. We were greeted by one of the many model like members of staff. Everyone was so attentive and keen to inform us about the menu, to help with suggestions and ensure that we were taken care of.

I rarely go to opening nights, they're just not for me but I was tempted to visit Tattu last week as I thought it'd be a good place to photograph; it was. The glamorous interior is very well realised and has clearly been done at some expense. Here's a sneak preview of what's on offer.
