The food was well portioned. They use fresh ingredients and cook right there I’m visibility of the customers. The place is quite hip and has a good vibe. The coffee and tea were great.
One of the best cappuccinos i’ve had.
The place os cosy and welcome and people are very friendly. Loved also the reusable cups.
Prices ate pretty good for 12oz cappuccino
Went here for a lunch the other day with our dog and was really impressed. Lovely light menu with huge delicious salads, sandwiches, etc. all of which looked lovely. Unlike many places in the Northern Quarter there is plenty of space, so the tables are not rammed together. Plenty of room for us and our dog.
Lovely chilled atmosphere and free doggie biscuits available too. We didn't have any but the cakes looked so tempting. I'll definitely be back there for coffee and cake!
All in all, a good find in the NQ and massively recommend it.
There’s no better feeling than waking up early on a Saturday morning and attempting to hit a personal best during the Platt Fields 5km Park Run. Ok that’s a lie. The best feeling is hitting a pb during the Platt Fields 5km Park run and then celebrating with a big, bad-ass breakfast. This week, we opted to try the famous pancakes at Ezra & Gil in the Northern Quarter. The restaurant is a great space: simple tables, combination of old-and-new-looking chairs, a comfy booth a few quirky wall décor arrangements. It has a stark industrial, but not cold, feel, making it a worthy addition to the NQ breakfast scene.
My n-th time visit to Ezra and it never disappointed me! Their coffee is really exceptional in strong nutty taste - absolutely my favourite! We tried their October special this time - Maple Pumpkin Benedict and again definitely in love. They have huge variety of food options which is rare in other coffee shops elsewhere. The bad thing is quite a bit of waiting will be expected on a weekend.

We had family brunch during our holiday in Manchester and were surprised with huge portions!!!! If you are not big eater, share your plate. A lot of waste around. But meal is tasty and you will enjoy it! Haloumi was the best! We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated(when we came, they said it takes 30 minutes-so don’t panic😉it could be shorter!)
Great brunch spot! Add to your go-to list.
I ordered a vegan Fusilli al Pomodoro. Fresh and tasty. Perfect for a light afternoon lunch.
Better for group and couple dates, definitely a place for catching up with friends and family.
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free & dairy-free options are available.

A great spot for brunch. The veggie breakfast and some ice coffee are really good. The place is quite busy so you can expect a waiting time of 20-30 mins over the weekends. The atmosphere and interiors are really nice. The menu has a lot of options (including vegan and vegetarian options) and they also had a variety of coffee and baked items. Enjoyed my meal here. Would definitely recommend.
Bright, lively and fun brunch spot. Our coffees were fantastic and atmosphere was great. Food was really good although a bit pricey and menu is unique. Liked the efficient order at the counter system and then servers brought your order out.
Liz who looked fabulous with her new haircut, was waiting at the door to greet us which was a lovely touch, before showing us to our table. Eggs royale and granola came out promptly and were both delicious. Great ambience and interior with friendly staff. Definitely recommend and will be back when we're next in Manchester.
Amazing brunch! Was on a weekend away and had 2 brunches. This one won by far! Very tasty poached eggs on chorizo hash!! Added a cheeky sausage for extra meat. My friend was impressed two. The food came quickly too… which when you’ve queued up is good! Two happy customers and if you’re going to queue somewhere, queue here!
This place is a must visit for breakfast if you're around Manchester. We got there around 11pm and had to queue about 20 minutes as the place was packed, but we got seated fairly quickly and it was a nice atmosphere inside. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing, I would definitely visit again when in Manchester.
Friendly and fast service. The hibiscus tea was phenomenal. The vegan breakfast plate has a fun assortment.
This is more social happy time than laptop, so come with friends :)
A lovely breakfast with the tastiest mushrooms I have had in a long time.
Having tried a place round the corner only to find they were out of their signature basis for a fry up, I was delighted to find this busy, buzzy, hipish spot just around the corner.
I was shown to a high table almost immediately, which was shared with a glass partition in-between with another cover. Interestingly, I noted it was designated a laptop free table, which basically enables it to accommodate leisure walk ups as well as those who want to work. My table was for 90 minutes, which is more than adequate for breakfast in my view.
Ordering is at the counter, where service was quick, friendly and efficient. I ordered the Classic Breakfast. It arrived very quickly - actually it arrived before the flat white I also ordered did: the waitress chased up the coffee and quickly came back to say it would be with me within 2 minutes (which it was).
The ingredients used were excellent. Scrambled egg was of a good consistency, not runny or fluffy, the Cumberland sausages were very tasty, baked beans were positioned in the middle of the dish in an actual cup with a handle rather than a ramekin, which amused me and brought to mind the scene in I’m Alan Partridge where Michael asks Alan if he wanted a cup of beans. Toast came ready buttered and was sufficiently moist, but the mushrooms were the real highlight being of really high quality and with a lovely meaty texture and taste.
The portion size was perfect really - not massive - and the plate was about as well presented as it gets.
Highly recommended to visit.
