The Hip Hop Chip Shop - Manchester - Photo album

The food here is pretty great and the portions are hearty. Definitely the best mushy peas I have ever had. We contemplated ordering an extra side of the peas! They have plenty of sauces to choose from to eat with your fish and chips. We chose the curry sauce and it was delicious. Loved that they hav
Hands down one of the best chippy joints in Manchester! Fish is fresh and juicy every single time. Never a disappointment. Has become one of my go-to places when I crave for fish and chips. Excellent music too! Highly recommend!
This was seriously beautiful fish and chips ...unique and fun atmosphere, great customer service and fast delivery of the food to our table , but far from a fast food experience. The fish was extremely fresh and tasty, batter was exceptional. For me it was a 10/10. We need one of these in London ASA
Curry fish was just barely able to taste the curry. Chips while skin on were perfectly done. Biggest complaint was the lack of actual Hip Hop music. In the entire 45m I ate in the restaurant, they never once played a hip hop song. Lots of R&B music but when then name is “Hip Hop Chip Shop” one expec
Great food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. I had the vegan bratwurst and it was excellent and I am not a vegan but loved it. The chips were the best and also a fantastic Espresso Martini. I Really do recommend this gem of a chippy.
Ventured into this cosy spot in Manchester and was instantly taken by the innovative spin on the classic Fish and Chips. The menu boasted a fantastic variety, and every choice we made was a hit. Despite a packed house, the service was quick and the staff were a delight, especially Holly. This place
The best fish and chips in the UK. The staff was friendly and the songs were good. The fried fish and chips were perfect. I would like to visit again.
This was stop two on a (second) food tour I made up. We were there to sample the fish bites, which were stunning. I liked the quirky movie/retro video game atmosphere- or you can sit outside if the weather is nice. Hip Hop is one I’m definitely going to come back and order a full meal from!
We arrived and it was super busy, but decided to wait until a table was free. The staff we lovely, and kept us informed. Food was amazing, proper chips, and beautiful battered fish. We also had the brownie with is made on site which was really rich and chocolatey. One of the best brownies ever. High
Absolutely awesome place. Hip Hop junkies heaven. Full of Hip Hop memoribillia, great choice of beers/drinks and cant say enough how good the Fish N Chips are. Beautiful. Im from Bradford where Fish n Chips is award winning and it beat ours, my friend flew in from Texas and was blown away by the foo
The fish & chips was really nice, and the brownie was delicious. The service was awesome and really helpful.
Excellent f&c place, the battered fish was tasteful and not too fatty, portions very generous and service on point. Can only recommend!
This is definitely not your usual chippy. It’s an out-of-the-ordinary place where courtesy meets delicious meals, paired with honest prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcomed us from the first moment we stepped in. The service was fast. We ordered a fish and chips and a sausage and ch
I’d heard of this place but never been until they put on a little all day DJ / beats session showcasing some of the eclectic musical styles that have contributed to the evolution of hip-hop music as a genre. Great little bar and restaurant with a great acoustic setup - they manage to get the music a
I was in Manchester for the day and this lovely joint appeared on my radar. The concept was curious and the food choice was certainly attention grabbing. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted by a charming member of staff(who also happened to be from London) and he laughed off the fact that we were ve
Some of the best chips I’ve ever eaten. Kiddie small portions are defo enough if you have a smaller appetite!
Really enjoyed it. Had the Ms Fatty Butty (or something) which was basically fish, chips and mushy peas on a burger bun. Drinks were good. Wasn't too busy at 6pm on a Saturday night. Staff seated a table of 4 straight away.
Hip Hop recently catered for our wedding day in Cheshire, and it was absolutely amazing. We were big fans of the restaurant before we organised, so when we saw that they cater events we jumped at the chance; Ozzie and the team were really easy to deal with throughout and the rates were very reasonab
