Very nice food and drinks here. The food came out really quickly but we had an issue with drinks taking a while, and on one round 3 different waiters forgot to place our drinks order.
Overall though a nice visit here at a decent price.
The atmosphere was also very good.

Went there to watch the awesome Filter band and they rocked the roof off. The bar area is lovely and the room where the gigs are held is really nice and has a great atmosphere as well as a bar there. Drinks a little expensive but worth it and as I'm disabled, I loved how we pre booked seating and the seats had reserved on them . Still had a great view.

We had the Sunday Roast with some of the extras, like pigs in blankets and the cauliflower cheese, everything was delicious, but the seasonal veg was below par, basically 50% red onion chopped into quarters and a bit under done, that was the only negative, the service was great and the selection of drinks is excellent. We will be back again.

Food's tasty but a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Beers are good and service is solid. Heads up if you order burgers: they already come with fries, so if you pay for the loaded fries on top they'll just add them to the fries which come with the burger already and not separate which is disappointing when you pay an additional cost.

We went to get food before a concert here. The food was good, we had the loaded fries. The staff were really nice too and they played some good music in the bar.

The experience of food and service was fine. However, we booked a 50% off deal and were charged the full amount. My friend who booked the table has gone back to Gorilla to query this and is awaiting a response. Hopefully, they will realise their error and refund the difference!

Amazing cocktails and food, great atmosphere and brilliant, helpful and friendly staff. After eating our meals we went next door to the club to watch a band. Great little live music venue. My only criticism would be we would have liked a few more choices on the bottle bar, but overall we had a fantastic night.

Always good food here, been loving their roasts before the pandemic, and yesterday I went back here for the first time. Ordered the chargrilled chicken which was accompanied by the most amazing chimicurri sauce, crunchy roast potatoes and fresh veggies. The use of good quality sea salt lifted this dish to the next level. Would def order again!

Hippo's reunion, very, very good. The music was great, the guys warming up the dancefloor did a superb job and the orchestra, I wasn't to enthusiastic about them but they turned out to be intense and it worked, they were good.
But as always Jay Wearden took it away. Another quality night.
Thanks Jason, Rosie and all the folk who helped us oldies feel alot younger for the night, although I may also have slipped a disc Jay.
Fantastic thank you all for your efforts, it was a brilliant night, great atmosphere.

Nice food in terms of quality, taste and presentation. My highlight of the meal was the blueberry banana smoothie, it was so fresh and natural. I like it very much. Staffs are friendly, we were having lunch, the environment was quiet, this was the fourth time I came to this restaurant and definitely will come back in future.

Really nice, laid back place and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and chatty. The food and drinks were amazing and so tasty. Only nitpick was that the service was a bit slow, but everything else top marks.

Excellent food and friendly service in authentic Manchester surroundings. Have been in the evening and found it a little loud but a great spot for lunch. Would recommend the fried chicken waffles for the perfect mix of salty and sweet. Perfect for brunch or lunch.

The service was quick and friendly. Price of the food is very good for the quantity of food you get and itās all presented well. I had the fried chicken and āwafflesā minus the egg. The waffle was more of an American style pancake, the overall dish had a very smokey taste to it but ultimately it was lovely.

We spotted Gorilla on a walk back from Junkyard golf and decided to stay for brunch. The food menu is great and there's lots to choose from - you won't be disappointed! My boyfriend has the chicken tenders which he said were great and I opted for the smashed avocado and feta poached eggs which is one of the best i've tried! I will definitely be back to try the pancakes!

Starting with āGrilled Halloumiā, bite size chunks of everybodyās favourite squeaky cheese that had been marinated in lime and chilli with coriander, roasted red onions and peppers. Itās hard to go wrong with halloumi and this was perfectly enjoyable, though iād have liked a bit more chilli heat.

When I think of its abundant juices mixing with the creamy garlic aioli I go into a bit of a drooling stupor. Now Iāve discovered that they offer the most amazing upgrade to their fries (thanks The Greedy Girl ) with truffle oil and parmesan, Iām considering setting up camp under one of the tables in the gin parlour or perhaps in a toilet cubicle, so Iām never far away from that truffly scent. Iām not normally a fan of noodle-soups but the pork was tender and the delicately-flavoured beef stock provided a savoury base for the other ingredients. A dish worthy of a permanent space on the menu.

The overall atmosphere of the place is fabulous. The refurb has been lovingly done and the decor (whilst eclectic) creates a coherent and satisfying setting, particularly for lunch times and early evening drinkies, although I suspect that the joint is jumping on the weekends. It is all vaguely reminiscent of a speak-easy, particular with the emphasis on the gin parlour which is situated upstairs. The bar downstairs is a rather large affair that sports a magnificent beaten metal roof. Under its shining glimmer I felt like a gangsterās moll, or at the very least an extra in Bugsy Malone.

The BURGER (Toasted sesame brioche bun, pickles, butterhead lettuce, Trof recipe burger sauce, aged cheddar - Ā£8.50) was equally as good. The Stilton we added as an extra (Ā£1) was well worth it as it adds that tang. The standard fries were perfect, light crispy and loads of little crunchy bits at the bottom.
