A vibrant place to go with friends or take visitors, the food & drink we're excellent, we tried the Korean food stall which was excellent food, very tasty but we thought too expensive for the portion size, all three of us were still hungry after, the corn fritter's looked excellent but the had just sold out of them.
The place is excellent for young children too as there is a children's soft play area which is great for young children. Highly recommended but there was a half hour wait for our food but we were there on a busy Saturday afternoon.
A great place to go if you are going to watch a band at 'Band on the Wall' after as that venue is almost next door.
Loved the place so cute and a great idea was here with my hubby and some friends we had a great afternoon. Would recommend it visit x
A brilliant place to try a plethora of cuisines and excite your taste buds !
Chinese and Mexican is really good and I personally always go here for their homemade nachos and cream.
The best part is that this place is open till 10pm on Sundays and the minute you go in , you see a huge bustling crowd .
A good place for a late night snack and beer ?✅
A good place for a first date ? ✅
A good place to hang out and vibe for the weekend ? ✅
Well then time to serve your hunger pangs do what they deserve !
This place is epic. Loads of bench seating to sit and enjoy food from tonnes of different vendors. There's a little kids play area to keep them entertained while you eat/drink/be merry. The building itself has had a brilliant job done on it, really interesting to explore and look around. The whole place had a great ethos and brilliant vibe.
It is a really stunning place to enjoy drinks with friends, and the food is fabulous, no doubt. The best place to sit at is actually downstairs, in the open area, just outside open kitchens, on the right, felt a lot more comfortable there with fresh air. I've been there for 2 times now, but I still love to sit around and enjoy the environment, enjoy the delicious dishes, the Pad Thai, the burger, the tacos, Steep soda lemonade. Forgot how did I miss out not leaving a positive feedback last time I visited Mackie Mayor, but now I surely do, would recommend this place to hang out with friends and have a great time over there pretty much.
Cool place.
Plenty of food and drink options to choose from . There will be something for everyone.
Drinks were between £5-£8 a pint of you like a more craft beer.
We also had a frozen margarita. The Chicken Burger was likely the most moist burger I have ever had, but £11.50, for just the burger... was the only disappointment of the day, there are places in Manchester you will get cheaper food for as good of quality...
Saying that, it you're in a large group, with fussy eaters, you cannot lose.
The place is unbeatable in terms of atmosphere. Different spots to get food so everyone in the group can get something. Food is good quality and tasty. Stopped here to get something fast during a visit. Shared a pad Thai plate with my girlfriend and now on the road again. Really good for any occasion.
Always so cool to see renovations on old historic building; giving it a new purpose, new life, new energy. The interior is nicely done and well managed. I was worry that it would be messy and a bit too street vibe to dine there, but the cleaning team has done such an amazing job at clearing and cleaning the tables as well as the bathroom facilities. Food was excellent as well but of course it will be depending on the store you go for, but at least my steak was excellent. However although it is a food court, you do have to expect to pay restaurant prices.
Booking made a few hours beforehand for a big group of us with no issues. Food arrived very quickly. One of the best pad Thai I have ever eaten - loved that the prawns were whole and I could devour the prawn heads haha. Not that many drink options and were quite on the pricey side. I spent £30 for the prawn pad Thai, the vegan mushroom skewers and a drink. There were easily accessible baby changing both downstairs and upstairs with different pathways for pram access.
I loved this place. A vibrant, busy place for eating in a small group, when you all have different tastes. It has a young vibe and is quite noisy, so bear that in mind. Good choice was great - handmade pizzas, Mexican, Thai, burgers. All set in a beautiful historic building which was originally a Smithfield market.
The building is lovely, you have plenty of options for food and drinks, we tried the ramen place which was OK nothing out of the ordinary The pricing was good, but the highlight is the food from eatpicos it was amazingly good, they are not exactly traditional Mexican tacos, but the flavours were amazing.
My main complaint about the place is that the tables outside were extremely dirty.
If you're in Manchester I recommend paying this place a visit and try me tacos from eatpicos.
Interesting dining experience with delicious food from different vendors. Get your drinks downstairs then find a seat up or down. Order from an array of choices from pizza to tacos to Asian on your phone and you will quickly be served. Delicious. Especially loved the portobello mushroom taco and the Asian chicken on rice. Yum 😋
