Incredibly tasty! Must try!
We love Oishi-Q! Definitely a place to put on our "to go again" list. We had the Fried Squid and Agedashi Tofu for starters- both were very tasty and freshly cooked. For mains, we had Chicken Kaarage with Oishi sauce (Japanese Mayo and Tokonatsu sauce) as well as Chicken Katsu Curry. Both were served with lots of chicken and I thought the Karaage was fried extremely well! To improve, we would have liked to see more sauce for the Katsu Curry as the rice soaked it all up and would have liked a few more vegetables. Otherwise, a must visit and I will try the Yakitori skewers next time as they looked very appealing.

Hi I went to this restaurant yesterday ( in sheffield)to one of my close birthday friend .
The first impression of this restaurant was amazing! Because the environment is so calm and good!
The food was extremely delicious 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾.
Now the waiters 🤔. The guy that was helping us with the food and drinks. Was not soooo professional. I am saying this because in one moment he started pushing us to choose the things quickly. How can I chose the things fast with no enough information about the dishes and so... i hope he stops behaves like that because its a big mistake for an restaurant like this. And when he stated doing it he was so arrogant on the way that he increased his voices. This one of the reasons I won’t give 5 start!!!!!!
Another big issue was when he did mistake on the payment time. I know that we all human and we make mistakes but when we decided to pay the restaurant was already empty and he could do the things calmly without any stress.
Tried the Japanese curry with crispy tofu!
The food was absolutely delicious and filling.
The only downside was that the restaurant took 40 minutes to prepare the food!
But it really was worth the wait.
The food was cheap and tasty enough and should go down well with the local student populous (their website has details of money off vouchers, competitions & a loyalty card), but for a fan of Japanese food like myself, I hoped for greater things.
Hidden gem, worth a short walk from the city centre for delicious Japanese curries and yakitori! I had the crispy tofu curry, my partner had the classic chicken katsu and we shared chicken karaage with Japanese mayo (lush). All for about £20 so well wortj it! Left super full. Curry sauce was awesome, sticky rice perfect for chopsticks. Chicken karaage juicy and crunchy. Staff also super friendly and you can watch anima as you eat :) a nice spot
Authentic Japanese food in Manchester. Vegetable tempura was excellent and so was their vegetable ramen! Although be prepared that it tastes bit fishy due to the fact that they use seaweed. After awhile I got used to the taste and quite liked it! It might not be everyone’s cup of tea. So just bear that in mind.
Place itself is spacious and has lots of seating available. They also do deliveries which is convenient if you live close by. I’d liked the fact that you could see how your food was prepared. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
I would recommend it!
Came for lunch after finding them on instagram. They said they were the katsu masters so I couldn't resist getting the chicken katsu curry, my sister got salmon katsu. They were very tasty, the staff were lovely and they have very decent prices too! I will be back to try some of the rest of the menu too.
Great good at good prices
Squid rings are to die for
Katsu curry with a boiled egg is must try
What a lovely place . The staff we're friendly and the food was sooooo good . Loved it 👌
Really good food. Highly rated. Only reason for 4 stars is that portion size was on the small size (if you're really hungry, order 2 or 3 starters to go with your main), and the chef had long hair that wasn't tied back or in a net (another reviewer mentioned hair in food).
Been two or three times when visiting Manchester. Food is always good and on-point, freshly and quickly prepared as well. You have to order on the till, but still get your food taken to your table. Great quality-price for a city centre location tho. Will highly recommend it!
Great place for Japanese food. Prices are not high and food is delicious. Staff is very friendly and were fast to cook my meal. It can be little crowded during lunch time, but you can squeeze on a long bench. There are also 2 TV screens, one was playing anime a second one Japanese movie with subtitles. Really loved the place, and definitely will be visiting again 🍜
Came here last week and the food was absolutely delicious - we had chicken karaage, squid rings (highly recommend) and chicken/ pork katsu - both amazing, so fresh and the curry sauce was really tasty. The service was great too, and for approx £15 we each got a main dish, side and a soft drink. Will definitely be coming back!
Absolutely brilliant place to go, I have visited this place a month ago for the first time and i was actually surprised how delicious the food was. I had seaweed soup (it was called differently but i can't remember sorry) and curry rice and i have to say the soup was absolutely amazing and i wouldn't be able to describe the taste as it was just incredible. And the curry rice was quite spicy but just amazing, i felt awesome after eating all of that. Absolutely reccomend this place and will be visiting very soon. Thank you 🙂
