Food was OK, brung one persons food out then took 10 minutes to bring the other out. Garlic dough balls are amazing. The pudding was dry and over baked. Most of the staff were friendly.
Only called in for a drink but stayed over three hours, the staff and locals were all very welcoming, and the real ale bitter a very lovely drink, car parking is available behind the pub and you need to register your car on a ipad on the bar for free parking.
Called in for a quick drink after watching my daughter play football nearby. Couple of drinks outside then had to head inside as it started to rain heavily. Didn't have food but looked good on some of the plates we saw
Staff friendly, fair choice of beers/ wines, food excellent.....very tasty, well presented and good portions. Lots of TV screens for sports events. Can get very busy, good atmosphere, indoor/ outdoor dining. Highly recommended.

Came for the wake for my friends funeral and stayed over.
Buffet was really nice. Val and the staff were so kind, helpful and friendly. A real credit to New Moston.
Had my great nieces christening there ...staff very friendly helpful and is a lovely atmosphere about the place thank you ...;0)x
As a vegan it’s so difficult to find yummy vegan food especially around this area. Delicious curry, hotpots and salads. You HAVE to try the chocolate orange brownie with vegan ice cream! SO GOOD!

July 2021 update:
Popped in for a pint with a mate. While on 2nd beer(Two Hoots- lovely) I remembered the the British and Irish Lions rugby union were playing South Africa. I asked one of the barmaids if they could show it? No problem and they very kindly put it on.
So I decided to have my tea plus a couple more pints while watching the test match.
Hopefully they will show the next games on following 2 Saturdays?🤔
This is a great pub with excellent, polite, professional staff and managemt At least two, different badged real ales on sale.
Pub was refurbished late 2017. Several Holt's keg ales and lagers should be on draught. In addition a varied bottled beer selection is available. There is a selection of different gins sold and they seem to be proving popular, on the occasions when I visit. Menu is fairly good value and there are several meal deals on during the working week. Since the refurbishment the pub is defintely family friendly.
I have tried 3 different meals and the portions are reasonable sized plus tasty. I would highly recommend the steak & ale pie-as very filling. They now have changed to a full pastry encased meat filling for this pie. There are two heated, sheltered dedicated smoking areas just outside the pub.
Came here Sunday 16/04/23 surprise meal for my granddaughters 21st We all enjoyed food.2 had the curry said was very nice. My younger grandaughter had kiddie meal but ended up sharing her sister’s &cousins curry she wants that next, My daughter had the Gammon which she enjoyed (but would like it cooked a little longer) Grandaughers other half had vegetarian chilli said was ok ,
I had the steak&ale pie beautiful cooked to perfection loads of filling and not a. Bit of grizzle really enjoyed it . All puddings were yummy, did not have to wait long after we orders food service was good All food arrived on table piping hot .All staff were very nice and helpful would recommend 😊

Nice place with friendly and helpful staff. Tasty pub food at reasonable price. Spent just over £70 for quick two course lunch for three adults and two kids with drinks. Carpark and accessible.
